This large, quiet and illuminated parking area is very close to Acerenza’s town centre and offers a scenic setting. Access is via a narrow road, and recent information warns that vehicles 6 m or longer and more than 2 m wide risk getting stuck in the historic centre. The parking is close to the village, but the navigator may direct vehicles through unsuitable narrow streets.

The road is too narrow, even when following Via delle Cantine.
Warning: the navigation system does not work well. If you have a camper over 6 m long and more than 2 m wide, you risk getting stuck in the historic center. Do this instead: coming up Via Vittorio Emanuele III, take the road to the right downhill at the hairpin bend, Via delle Cantine. After the first right-hand bend there is a widening, which allows you to turn 180 degrees and go uphill to the left. After a while you will arrive.
About 50 m after the hairpin bend, there is a small viewpoint on rough gravel for two motorhomes. Leave the parking spaces near the town to the residents. Quiet night despite Easter celebrations in the town on Sunday evening. Trash bin available but overflowing with the remains of a nighttime party.
Follow the road indicated by the signs for “parking Via delle Cantine.” The road is narrow but manageable; we have a 6.30 m vehicle. Beautiful spot, very peaceful and very close to the village!
Quiet, safe, scenic and convenient for the town center. Unsuitable for large campers. Attention! The GPS takes you right into the town center, where a camper cannot pass. If you find yourself on a road paved with light-colored tiles, turn back. Along the main paved road there is a hairpin bend: turn right at the bend onto the road that slopes slightly downhill, following the sign prohibiting buses.
Really great spot. We were the only ones here, peaceful, with a beautiful view. There is also a good restaurant next to the church.
Great spot. Fantastic view. Quiet. East walk up a few steps to the old town. On the approach, a parking chap was worried I might drive into the extremely narrow old town, and blew his whistle, rabbiting on in Italian, but ignoring him worked well. Parking here is free. Is flat on the top level. Clean.
Beautiful location and very peaceful. Pay close attention: this is Via delle Cantine. Going uphill on Via Mazzini takes you right into the town center.
