A very large highway rest area with parking for camper and caravan teams, a petrol station with LPG and a bistro. Parking is free and overnight stays are allowed, while toilets now cost €1 each; the shower was still reported out of order in 2025. Benches and tables are available, and the location can be surprisingly quiet but remains exposed to highway noise. A recent report also described a nighttime attempted theft.

good for what it is, a parking space you are allowed to stay overnight in, its free to park but toilets now cost €1 each time. lots of benches and tables which is nice.
WARNING (night of 17 August 2025, 3:30 a.m.): I saw two men through the window opening a bus driver's door, then turning around to shine their flashlight at mine—classic thieves. Simply knocking on my wall and saying “HEY” was enough to make them leave immediately. Lock everything possible, please do not sleep with open doors, and be careful.
Shower still not working.
Didn’t spend a night here, just used the shower which was clean and ok, but the entrance is from male bathroom so pretty hard to find
Good & surprisingly quiet place to stay the night even though it’s next to the highway, however the shower is currently out of order (the one on the other side of the road works)
Had a good, quiet night. If you are sensitive to noise, wear earplugs and it will be great. You stand a little farther from the road. Fresh water can be filled with a canister. The café is very good, and the toilets are clean and free 24/7. Excellent as a stopover heading south or returning. There is a similar rest area in the opposite direction.
We did not stay there, but only filled up with water at the outdoor fountain next to the pumps! Good pressure, but old-fashioned.
Not the cleanest shower, but a needed one. Get a coin for €3 at the gas station.

Decent place to spend the night, 25 minutes from Ljubljana. (28/08/2023) There were about 10 campers tonight. The area is a little noisy, but that is to be expected with the nearby highway. Past the gas station and parking areas there is a quieter picnic-table area. The same gas station has a decent self-service restaurant. SAFE area (many trucks and open 24 hours).
We spent one night before visiting Ljubljana and everything was perfect, with a little noise in the early morning from cars arriving and leaving. Clean paid toilets, €0.50 at Marche, and no problems with the police. Recommended.
