Herrenstraße 17, 06108, Halle (Saale)
Been here?
This is a free, asphalted and illuminated parking lot on the Saale beside Halle’s old town. The city centre is nearby, and a tram stop is available, although tram and street noise can occur. There is no additional infrastructure; a public toilet is about 1km away, and the entrance can be difficult because of the one-way system. Cars and trucks sometimes occupy many spaces.

It does not look like much at first glance, but it turned out to be a very good and quiet place to stay. Close to the city center, and the night was peaceful. Gladly again.
Great place to stay for walking into the city. Several motorhomes with local license plates were here, but the site is large enough and, with a bit of luck, you can get the premium shaded spot. Thank you, Halle, for this place!
We spent a quiet night here.
The site is absolutely central and free for motorhomes. No other facilities, but I want to park here, not take a holiday. Access via the address is a little tricky because of the one-way street. With the address, it is easy.
Perfectly fine for daytime parking, but nothing more. Extremely littered and completely filled with trucks, cars, and vans. Very centrally located, but we did not want to stay overnight.
THANK YOU, Halle, for this free parking area directly on the Saale and close to the center. The parking area was very full, but we still slept well. We visited Moritzburg Museum and had a good meal. Motorhome users, please do not camp and leave it clean.
Excellent as a free place; the tram is loud, but that does not bother us. However, many spaces are occupied by cars that should actually be in the paid section of the parking area. What a shame. The approach was no problem with a proper sat-nav.
The place is okay, although many cars block the area. The approach and route through Halle are catastrophic—absolutely annoying!!
Free parking area. Perfect location for the city center. A public toilet toward the city center is about 1 km away. Unfortunately, there is no rubbish bin nearby.
Free for motorhomes. Great location, right by the city center. We found the entrance easily with Google Maps. We stayed one night. It was very quiet.
IMPOSSIBLE to find on the Map. I’ve been going around in circles for 30 min
The parking area offers exactly what you expect. We were able to spend the night here peacefully and quietly. The approach was somewhat complicated, but that was due to Google, not the parking area. Gladly again.
The parking area is open—but, as described below, you have to drive past it! It is very close to the city center and planetarium. You can hear the Saale and traffic rushing, but it is very steady. The deduction is for the rubbish and broken glass. The municipal enforcement office was there; motorhomes really pay nothing, while cars were fined.
Unfortunately blocked off! With guardrails.
