A free parking area near Zwenkauer See, with a short walk to the lake for swimming and walks. The area has a rubbish bin, but recent comments describe noise from the Bundesstraße and occasional evening activity. The lake and immediate surroundings receive mixed recent reports, including concerns about insects and red residue in the water. It may be suitable for a short stop, but one recent comment advises against staying overnight because of suspected drug activity.

Well, suitable for a short walk. Otherwise, I would not stay here.
I think this is a meeting point for drug deals. I would not recommend staying overnight.
From the car park, it is a short walk to the lake, where you can swim and stroll wonderfully. The night was quiet; in the evening, teenagers occasionally come to walk to the lake. We had no negative experiences.
OK for one night. No prohibition signs. Several campers were there. The ice-cream man was there too.
Relatively nice and relaxing car park. However, the main road makes it fairly noisy. In my opinion, the lake is unsuitable for swimming. There are huge numbers of disgusting little flies, and when you go into the water, some kind of red residue sticks to your skin. I will not come back.
Beautiful place, although there is already a lot going on at night and early in the morning. Cyclists, commuters, joggers, dog walkers—everything is happening, with lots of movement.

We slept here for one night. A short walk to the water, which was very clean. Some noise from passing cars. The car park is quite full during the day. Three of us stayed overnight.
We slept there two days ago one night in long mobilhome, we were alone there, the spot is dark and we didn't feel there so safe, but the night was quiet without any problem.
We stayed for two nights and went on a cycling tour. Everything was great, and swimming in the lake, about a 50-metre walk away, was excellent. Lovely water. The car park was fine; the rubbish bins were emptied daily.
