Downe, High Elms Road is a free car park near Downe House and many local walks. The access roads are single lanes, and gates or barriers may be closed by the ranger or at 11pm. An alternative parking area is available in Downe village beside the recreation area and park.

We stayed on the 20/4/2022 - great spot. Lots of cars with dog walking and family but once they cleared the ranger came and shut the gate. Suited us well. We did not need an early rise. Close to Down house. NOTE these Road there and to Down house were single lanes.
