River parking, peaceful nights

Free parking beside the river in a small village near the railway station and line. It is suitable for an overnight stay and was peaceful at night, although busy early evening with villagers and train commuters. A pizzeria, bakery, restaurant and fountain are nearby, with a riverside walk accessible from the parking area.

Parked here for the night. Went to Papillons for a great authentic Pizza. Within site if the van so no stress. Great service from young waitress who spoke good English. There is a good walk along the river too, turn left out of the parking then immediately right down a track
Used this for a 1 night stop. Busy early evening with villagers and train commuters (it’s by the train station). Everyone we encountered was very pleasant and no one seemed annoyed we were camping. Very peaceful night with no disturbances. Pizzeria & bakery very nearby. Woodland walk right next to park up which was lovely. Highly recommend.
