North Loch Lomond, Inverarnan, G83 7DX, Arrochar
Been here?
The Drovers Inn provides free overnight parking behind its traditional pub when you eat or drink there, with views towards a waterfall. The area is busy with waterfall visitors during the day and quieter at night, while the parking surface is sloped. A large septic tank can cause a very strong smell, especially nearby. The pub serves food and drinks and may have live music or concerts, particularly on Saturday evenings.

Parking lot okay for emergencies, it smells terribly. We didn't stay because some of the food was sold out.
2 ciders cost 12 My meal was luke warm but came out of the kitchen right after ordering, I ordered a sticky toffee pudding for dessert the vanilla ice-cream that went with it was randomly replaced with a lemon sorbet (did not go well with it). midge n clegs about. pub has a nice rustic feel to it and the staff are friendly was a quiet night. But I felt abit ill in the night after eating here
large parking behind the pub. Friendly welcome, typical pub and good dinner accompanied by music (but not live)
A free parking lot behind the pub. We hadn't reserved and waited at the bar with a drink and live music, very nice. Later we got a table, the food was great! The parking lot is sloping, but was no problem. Depending on where you park, it smells a bit unpleasant. We parked further away and it was ok.
Ideal for a night, we went to the pub for food and a couple of drinks and they had live music on. Couldn’t smell anything bad. Quirky pub that is a great stop off for the night to fuel up.
Parking behind the pub. Very busy with passing tourists by day, less crowded at night. Park away from the septic tank because the pumps work day and night. The pub is quirky, but prices are high for the quality
the bad smell is due to the large green above ground septic tank. Soo, just park away from this and no smell. We had dinner, drinks, and music. All Good!
it may have started as a drovers inn but now more like a smelly scrap yard it may be old but that's no excuse for the mess and smell it's not for the faint hearted
Free pitch, slept well, on the West Highland Way, Dovers Inn highly recommended, good food, good beer, very nice and friendly staff, thank you very much for this opportunity to stay overnight
We parked here overnight & went in for dinner, drinks & breakfast the next morning. Food was good & average pints. Staff were lovely! The carpark smells BAD! We ended up parking at the side. Still a great overnighter if you’re looking for food & pints.
We stayed overnight here and had a really nice experience. The food was amazing, and everything felt comfortable and calm. In the morning, the toilets were clean, which we really appreciated.
Some comments are hilarious. Are there only glamper people on the road now? You are standing behind a PUB on the street – and complaining about traffic, deliveries & music? Seriously?! „Midges“… welcome to the Highlands! Free parking space after consumption, food delicious, staff top, ambiance 5 stars. Mega No luxury – but real Scotland. If luxury, then look for camping deluxe.
Great stop. Very large car park, dog friendly, amazing food, super friendly and welcoming staff. The live music was a bonus, we totally enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend it and if we're back this way we'll definitely come back again.
Great stop. Peaceful nights sleep. Nice view of the waterfall. Free to park, but go enjoy a drink and or meal inside this eclectic place to keep places like this available. Friendly staff. Will definately return.
Great pub and quiet night
After fleeing from the Lomond park administration (misleading information on the parking machine) we ended up here. Very nice pub, large area behind it with a view of the waterfall. We'd love to come back.
We loved it here. Asked at the bar if we could stay on carpark overnight, and told yes. No mention of having to eat with them. But we did as the place is fascinating. Great view of waterfall. food was lovely and reasonably priced. we got out of bed at 10pm to go back in and watch singer, great atmosphere. I would highly recommend this spot just for the experience. no facilities but safe and fun.
Impossible to eat on site with a minor child as they must leave the premises before 8pm. We took the food to go. Decent but nothing special and a little expensive. The welcome remains pleasant.
We ate in the restaurant and thus we were able to sleep in the back for free. We used leveling blocks for the RV. Sloping terrain. Unpleasant septic tank odor in some places, choose your spot carefully.
Very good place to sleep. Ask the staff if you can stay depending on available spaces. We arrived at 4pm, ate on site. Guaranteed atmosphere in this 18th-century setting! The pub team is very nice. I recommend it
Free parking if you eat at the restaurant. The team is friendly and the food is good. A little bonus for the live concert. The night was peaceful, with only a few vans.
Nice stopover. Welcoming and friendly staff. Quiet night in the parking area.
Stayed overnight with permission from staff. Was easy and no hassle. OK, avoid the septic tank at the bottom of the car park and as always be prepared for the midges. There was no expectation to buy food or drink although we did partake. The pub has got to be seen to be believed and a visit should be on everyone's bucket list.
Great place! We ate at the Drovers Inn and were told that we were welcome to spend the night in the parking area. We had a quiet night. There was music in the restaurant in the evening with a great atmosphere!
This is the most rustic pub in all of Scotland! Dating from 1705, it still looks exactly the same. The staff are super friendly and authentic. The food is really good. Every traveler in Scotland should visit this place once. Behind the building there is a large parking area suitable for large motorhomes.
Lovely 300-year-old pub. Good food and a nice musical atmosphere. Pleasant staff. Overnight stay in the parking area behind the pub.
The food in the pub was good and we were allowed to use the toilet. The site itself is dirty, it smells, and we had hundreds of tiny midges in the evening.
