Very large free parking for visiting Noirlac Abbey (200 m away). Shaded grassland with picnic tables; peaceful quiet environment in countryside. Toilets and sinks available but often closed in low season. Abbey visit worthwhile; good walking and biking nearby.

We spent a quiet night, with shade, in this large car park before visiting the abbey, which is well worth the detour.
A magnificent place to spend a quiet and undisturbed night! Many thanks to the municipality for keeping the abbey car park open to motorhomes. Visiting the abbey was a highlight of our trip! We were reluctant to leave.
Great place to spend the night without facilities. Very large car park, where we were with two other campers. Beautiful trees all around and grass to sit on. From here you can take a lovely walk to Lac de Virlay or through the nature reserve by the monastery, going back and forth to the river. Toilets closed in the low season. Many beautiful birds around, including bee-eaters. The monastery is worth a visit.
Very quiet and pleasant for one night. We were alone and were able to fully enjoy the birdsong.
Very quiet and clean. Toilets closed in the low season. We spent the night here, thank you to the municipality.
Thank you to the abbey for allowing us to sleep in the car park. Very peaceful, with toilets available in season. The visit is very interesting and includes a sound area.
Large car park; the toilets are closed, and only the abbey toilets are open during visiting hours. As a result, there were bad smells and excrement behind the bushes!
Large car park in the countryside, about 10 km from the motorway exit. Short walk toward the lake, with a lovely view of the abbey. We were three motorhomes and had a very quiet night.
Very quiet car park. There are four motorhomes here. The abbey visit is magnificent and beautifully restored. We are spending the night here.
Very quiet car park for spending the night, with grass and tables. Beautiful abbey to visit and many cycling paths. The only drawback is that the toilets and water point are closed. What a shame. Thank you to the municipality for allowing us to stay.
July 22, 2025. Quiet night, three motorhomes in a huge car park, with a magnificent abbey 200 metres away. A walk to the lake is recommended. Thank you.
A peaceful and relaxing place. We were alone in the car park and had a quiet night, waking to birdsong. Great! Hard ground with grass and trees, ideal for our Beauceron. The abbey is splendid, and the hike to Lac de Virlay is magnificent, with many bird species including European bee-eaters. Thank you to the municipality for this car park.
Very large, flat, hard-surfaced car park. No services, but an excellent restaurant right next door with very friendly staff. There are also walking trails in addition to the abbey to visit. Picnic tables on the abbey side. Very quiet at night.
Big car park, no services. Quiet night.
We will return to visit the abbey. Very quiet at this time of year, ideal for nature lovers, with easy hikes and a lake 1.5 km away. Shops nearby.
Many large, flat spaces. No services, but a lovely walk on foot or by bike toward the town. Magnificent abbey. Very quiet after the visitors leave.
Perfect night. We were alone. As the abbey was closed in the morning, we spent the night on the car-parking side since it did not bother anyone. Very, very quiet, thank you!
A short stop at this beautiful, large and quiet car park. Beautiful abbey. Nice little restaurant very close by.
Lots of spaces, bins and tables. The abbey is really worth visiting! Enjoy your visit.
Spacious car park. We were three vans, three motorhomes and a few cars, but there is enough space so nobody is crowded. A quiet and peaceful place beside the abbey. There is also a short family walk of about 1 km to discover the surrounding area.
