Route des Arcs, 73700, Bourg-Saint-Maurice
Been here?
Four-star mountain campsite in Savoie near Les Arcs with pool and games. Motorhome pitches are on bare bitumen in full sun with no shade. Recent complaints include sewage odours, dirty toilets, undersized showers, and pool hygiene issues. Expensive; over €100 for two nights.

Shameful for a four-star campsite! A pitch in full sun facing the wastewater pit, with sewer smells for four days. No privacy. Worst of all, hikers staying on the motorhome parking area had to be accommodated on our grass! Undersized and very dirty facilities, and an unsanitary pool full of hair. Management does not care and says we should have paid extra. Absolutely avoid!
Beautiful campsite, excellent amenities, and a lovely panorama. Indeed, the motorhome area could use more grass; concrete in full sun gets unbearably hot. But we arrived during a busy Green Cycling weekend without a reservation and were happy to get a place. We had also been warned by phone. Very friendly welcome. Clean facilities despite the crowds. Outdoor games.
Lovely grassy pitch without separating hedges but under the trees. Nice small pool, not too busy in May. Clean facilities, though the showers are a little small. A wonderfully pleasant natural setting!
I stopped by in winter & the price of the pitch was out of my budget as a single person with a tiny van. I was kindly allowed to use the shower facilities for just €2 ! I really appreciated this, & even though the hot water had almost run out by the time I got there at 6pm - it was a great shower! & Hairdryer! There’s a lovely community vibe amongst the people there, many of whom are regulars.
The campsite is very good and has all the services, close to the village and supermarkets. They put our motorhome on a paved, unshaded pitch, and it was very hot. We did not like this at all, which is a shame because the campsite itself is perfectly fine.
Four stars because the campsite is really excellent, clean, with all services available and every possible game available (Mölkky, pétanque, badminton, table tennis). One star missing because during the heatwave the motorhome pitches are on asphalt without shade (we were informed by phone!). Excellent overall.
The one-star deduction is because of parking on asphalt (I booked knowing this). The campsite is extremely well located. If you want a shaded grassy pitch, I think you need to book a full week in advance.
Huttopia, the beautiful utopia. How to turn a municipal campsite into a four-star campsite with very little change, except exorbitant prices. We booked two nights in a van during the last week of July for a total of over €100, including the reservation fee. The sanitary area in the middle of the campsite is not worthy of a four-star site. Constant sewer smells. Conclusion: extremely disappointing value for money.
The motorhome reception is unappealing, with a pitch on a concrete parking area without shade. Expensive; better to move on if there are no grassy campsite pitches. The sanitary area is good but there are too many people for the toilets. A bad experience for me.
Family campsite with a very warm welcome, but the pitches are right next to one another, with no separation at all. No privacy. The biggest problem is the price: €40 for one night (one adult, one dog, rooftop tent), which is excessive. A shame, because everything else is good. Noisy campsite, with a certain lack of respect regarding noise (loud voices, music too loud...).
No one at reception from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. A sign indicates the available pitches without specifying whether they have electricity. We set up and, when registering, learned that we were on a pitch with electricity... We paid the full price: €35.10, even though we did not connect to the electricity.
Friendly welcome. Large pitches in the camping area, with many trees providing shade.
Excellent campsite not far from the town center, very well equipped both in terms of facilities and leisure activities. The pitches are not separated and are on grass, except for the area for passing motorhomes. Caravans and tents are available to rent. Very friendly and pleasant welcome. We stayed two nights and could return.
We had arrived without a booking and stayed on a grassy site of which there was plenty available. After a few days we extended our stay by three days but didn’t realise that we were held to this amount of time so when we left a day early we were not given a refund for the day we didn’t use. Be aware that once you say you’re staying for “x” days they will hold you to it, even when they aren’t busy
We stayed here for 6 nights and have had a lovely stay. The trails/park area from the back of the campsite have been great for walking our dog. Supermarkets are less than a 5 minute walk and our quickest journey from our van to the top of the funicular for skiing was 30mins. Water tap for campers did not seem very sanitary so we used a watering can and other drinking water taps for filling up.
Lovely place. Take bus line C to the funicular. You can be on the slopes within 40 minutes. Facilities (showers, ski heating, etc.) are excellent.
Campsite open all year, good price: €31.50 for one motorhome pitch with electricity and two people, including motorhome services. Bathrooms and facilities with hot water. Hypermarket five minutes away and city center ten minutes away.
Perfect for skiing. Free ski bus right outside the door. Overnight stay for two people and a camper, including electricity and hot showers, just under €30.
