13 Spessartstraße, 63619, Bad Orb
Been here?
A nine-space motorhome area beside the spa park, now described as uneven, sloping gravel rather than a level, quiet site. The charge is 15€, payable only with exact coins, while six spaces can alternatively be booked through an app. Electricity, water and waste facilities are available. Tennis activity affects the site during the day, and delivery lorries can start passing from 5:30.

The town of Bad Orb advertises an excellent thermal spa with a swimming pool and sauna, but it cannot provide a suitable motorhome pitch. This pitch can be forgotten: gravel and sloping spaces. In addition, private operators occupy part of the small area with alpacas. Payment is only possible with coins. Every other country in the EU offers debit-card payment. Negative!
Everything has already been described; €10 would also have been enough for this pitch.
The pitch is very sloped. From 5:30 a.m., lorries drive past to supply the spa centre. That is when the night ends!
The pitch is directly next to a tennis facility that is heavily used. Consequently, from spring to autumn it is significantly affected during the day. If you are looking for peace and quiet, you are completely in the wrong place. A shame, because Bad Orb is worth visiting. Perhaps the municipality will find a better location.
A really beautiful place beside the spa park. Four of the nine spaces are reserved for Alpaka Camping and can only be booked online. Electricity and emptying/filling facilities are available. There is even a bicycle washing station. Points deducted for the payment system: only coins, which must be paid in exact change, is no longer appropriate.
Very well-located motorhome pitch. Everything you need is available. The cash-only payment reduces your supply of small change if you want to stay longer. Otherwise, everything is close to the centre and there is a beautiful old town.
The “weird” people hanging around there are spa guests. The adjacent park has been completely redesigned and replanted over the past few months at considerable expense. There is also mini-golf, a Kneipp facility, squash courts, and more. That is the only reason construction machinery can currently be heard. We always carry leveling wedges and coins with us. Waste disposal, water and electricity available; for a while there was also a bike-washing station. €15 per day.
Never again Bad Orb The pitch now costs €15. In coins, of course. An absolute disgrace! Still no card payment possible; alternatively, use the spaces and pay via the app. You would need three leveling wedges to stand reasonably level. The pitch is very dusty. Shortly after seven, excavators and other machinery start working on the adjacent site. The sauna at the spa is a joke.
We parked for one night and visited the town and the thermal baths. The Camping app worked. However, the town has increased the fee by 25% to €15. There are 6 spaces payable via the app and 3 spaces via the parking meter. One point deducted because the parking surface is extremely dusty.
Unfortunately, we did not have six €2 coins! Parking with the new app does not work!
Actually nice, but remote, with strange people wandering around there.
Basically, everything you need is available. But… people, bring a whole bag of coins. No banknotes and no cards. The banks and shops do not give change. It is incomprehensible that such a thing still exists.
The pitch was great for a stopover at the thermal baths. There is a public toilet in town, about a 10–15 minute walk away. Payment is only possible with coins.
You can stop here for two nights. There is a thermal spa, a beautifully landscaped spa park, and a lovely old town. Don’t forget leveling wedges and coins.
BRING COINS, no card payment! Clean and quiet and easy to park. Fantastic walks through the Kurpark, only moments from an awesome graduation tower and super therme. Right near a great restaurant (also no cards) 8hours of electricity for 1 euro! Bring your camper and your walking shoes and swimsuit, you will not be dissapointed.
It is a parking area, but unfortunately card payment or any other payment method is not possible—only coins. The rest is okay.
