This is roadside parking in a residential area, about 10–15 minutes on foot from Salzburg’s old town. Parking is limited to 3h in the blue-marked spaces during paid periods, while it is free overnight and at weekends. The site is slightly sloped and fairly quiet, although it is not especially discreet. Overnight stays have been used successfully, but residents’ spaces must be avoided.

Top parking area right in the middle of Salzburg. A 10–15-minute walk to the city center. We also slept here and felt very safe. In the blue-marked area, parking is free on Saturdays (until 4 p.m., only 3 hours with a parking disc) and on Sundays. It is quite uneven, and on Sunday morning, at least today, the bells of the nearby church rang very often and for a very long time.Translating

Busy road. Tolls during the day. Not welcome by the residents. They thought we were taking their parking spaces away. Stayed for one night. There was a knock on our motorhome several times in the middle of the night. We won't be coming back
We were told that we had to pay. However maybe we weren’t parked the place shown on this app
Kind of a busy road in a nice residential area. Free on the weekends and weekdays between 19.00-09.00 otherwise maximum 180 minutes/4,5 euro. We saw parking attendants a few times so I wouldn’t risk overstaying the time.
