Great campsite, host was very welcoming and helpful in terms of what was available. The dish washing area and toilet/shower block all very clean and the campsite is alongside a stream/river which was perfect for a morning dip. We travelled here in a 7m motorhome, just don’t come via Ponsworthy, the bridge was incredibly tight.
Small site that is not overcrowded. Sanitary facilities clean and in sufficient number. Farm Shop right next door. You should bring leveling ramps, though. Hiking trails into Dartmoor start directly at the campsite (public footpath).
Great campsite, little honesty shop at the farm across the road. Nice and peaceful site next to a stream.
Booked last minute. Owner was very friendly and welcoming. The site is opposite the farm. £10 pppn EHU is £4 pn. Lovely hot showers, clean facilities. Washing up area. WiFi. Farm shop with milk, eggs, juice, bacon etc. easy walk into Widecombe In the moor. Definitely recommend we enjoyed our two nights by the stream.
A very nice, small campsite next to a farm with a very friendly and helpful operator. Some pitches have electricity. Access is only via single-track roads. We were there with a 6 m camper and had no problems. However, we recommend approaching from the north via Widecombe. We will definitely return.
Such a lovely place! We spent 3 wonderful nights here. It has everything you need. Ivy is incredibly kind and helpful, and the farm shop sells eggs, milk, bread, jam, honey, souvenirs... Simply excellent!
Nice place to be—a well-located site that is tidy and clean. The sanitary facilities are really old but still clean; a few new toilet seats would be nice. The farm shop sells fresh eggs from seemingly every egg-laying creature, meat, homemade jam, and ice cream. It is also nice that late arrival is possible and checkout is until 1 p.m.
Campsite beside a river. Clean and functional facilities. In the heart of nature. £20 for two.
Really idyllic location with hospitable owners. No electricity but clean sanitary facilities. Everything is excellent.
We spent a lovely day and a quiet night. Sanitary facilities were all fine. £20 for 2 people without electricity. Gladly again :)
It was almost full in a sunny Summer half term but the owner kindly let me park up at the end by the stream. I had a wonderful night there in a secluded spot
Lovely site not far from Widecombe, with a friendly operator who does not overcrowd the site even at weekends. We went hiking and cycling here. £10 per person, no electricity, weak WiFi, but fresh milk from the farm and lots of peace and quiet. If you walk south along the road for about 1 km to the ridge, you get mobile reception (O2).
Super-friendly operator! You can get milk, eggs, sausages, etc. at her farm. Very quiet site with clean sanitary facilities. Simple, but everything is sufficient. No mobile reception at all, which did us good. We felt very comfortable.
