Maison du Garde, 14860, Bavent
Been here?
Wild spot in nature near Bavent, 30 minutes from Ouistreham. Very calm and quiet with minimal traffic. Access is 5km via winding single-lane road with ditches—challenging for large vehicles. Mud is common and you can get stuck. Up to 3 vans fit. Locals tolerate overnight stays if you keep the place clean. Good for walks and blackberry picking.

Very, very quiet and secluded. Very pleasant for resting. The only drawback is the winding 5 km access road, a single lane used in both directions, with ditches on both sides. If you are not sure you can maneuver your vehicle precisely, pray that no vehicle comes the other way.
A place surrounded by nature. 100 m farther along the road to the right, there is a stabilized spot. The same applies on the road to the left, at a bend. There is no need to squeeze three vehicles into places like this. Only suitable for vans!
place quite calm at nights and days but watch out for mud, there is a lot of it and it is easy to get stuck, I spent a night and morning for a while
Really good; we stayed for one night without any problems. Very quiet place, with a few passing cars. Three vans can fit without getting in each other's way. Clean area, so please keep it that way :)
Very lovely, peaceful place. There are opportunities for beautiful walks, picking blackberries, and taking the children to see the ponies in the field opposite. Almost no traffic.
Extremely quiet and clean spot. Rare passing cars. Most importantly, only half an hour from Ouistreham. Last night, three vans shared this space.
Quiet; the locals do not seem bothered and are rather friendly. The houses are at least 150 m away. Please respect the place so this can continue. I understand relieving yourself in nature, provided you bury it and preferably do so away from the camp, a note for previous visitors. Quiet location with little traffic, for a maximum of two vehicles so as not to disturb the locals.
Quiet spot next to a farm, along a small country road with very little traffic. Passing cyclists and other local farmers in tractors greeted us with a smile. :)
We arrived very late, when it was almost dark. A quiet night here. Very beautiful nature; we could even pet the ponies in their enclosures before going to bed. Please keep this wonderful place clean, then there should be no problem hosting the occasional guest here in the future. (:
Very quiet place in nature. The access path looks adventurous but is perfectly passable. There is a camera in the sheep field right next to it. When we arrived, the grass reached our knees and there were some thistles.
Nice spot, a little exposed between a small road and a path, but it seems fairly quiet and has very little traffic. We spoke with the owners of the adjacent field, who are very friendly and open; they do not mind at all as long as the place remains clean. There are indeed traces of dried mud, so it may be inaccessible after heavy rain.
Very quiet place in nature, perfect for spending the night, with almost no traffic. No services.
It is okay for one night. The site is at a fork in the road, so there is some traffic in the evening and morning. At night it is quiet, though. Only room for one panel van, or at most a small motorhome. Lots of mosquitoes and bugs. In the evening, we could hear a shooting range in the distance.
Very good for one night. Beautiful spot with very little traffic. Another motorhome passed during the night, and it was quite noisy. Not very large, but it does the job in the middle of August.
Impossible to park; the spot is very muddy even though it has not rained for several days. Located at a crossroads. Although there is not much traffic, the place does not feel very safe.
Very muddy ground in the middle of a crossroads, impossible to stop without risking getting stuck. Note that some photos do not correspond to the location indicated by the GPS.
Very quiet. You wake up in the morning and the cows come to see who is in front of their field! Lovely grassy spot; even in the rain it worked well. We are in a large motorhome and it is perfect. You will be surrounded by cows and sheep. Slight road noise in the distance, but nothing disturbing.
Magnificent, serene, absolutely quiet. Very good for one night or more.
Very quiet and beautiful landscape, surrounded by cows and sheep between two fields.
