Furøy Camping

We paid 400 NOK for one night without electricity; free choice of pitch, so we could park directly in the first row by the water. Showers and toilets were very clean and included in the price. Good dishwashing facilities with three sinks. Swimming area with a jetty available. No road noise, only the ferry regularly passing by.

The washing machine and dryer operate via a timed coin mechanism. The washroom is locked from 10 p.m. to 9 a.m. Otherwise, beautiful location on the fjord. Sanitary facilities are very nice and clean. Free hot showers.

An excellent campsite. Great views great location and super friendly managers/owner’s. Great showers and toilets. Clean and included in the price. Cheap laundry so get in early if you need to do any. There’s a small kitchen overlooking the fjord. There’s a nice walk to the headland. Highly recommend to stay here. Definitely 5star for us. 450NOK water views power and free hot showers.

Very busy, lots of people in transit and stay just one night. Good welcome from reception. Good showers but why doesn't anyone take their shoes off as asked! Frisbee golf a nice touch. But just what we needed after getting soaked on the Engenbeen glacier hike (recommended though!) and needing somewhere to dry out.

Lovely little campsite with views of the fjord. Great for an early ferry. The WCs and showers were ok and clean. The kitchen wasn’t great but the laundry was good value 20 NOK for 1 hour wash and 20 NOK for 1 hour dry

What a beautiful place! We thoroughly enjoyed the view over the magnificent fjord, where you can fish. Short walk from the campsite. Fine sanitary facilities. If everyone maintains it as they do at home, everything will stay tidy!

A flawless campsite, very friendly and helpful. However, I cannot understand campers who use the toilet on the morning of departure and do not know where the flush tank is, let alone what a brush is. Such people complain that the sites are dirty and are not cleaned. Basic cleaning should surely be expected from everyone.

450 NOK all-inclusive. Electricity cannot be declined. We have seen worse places for more money. Norwegian price levels. Supply and demand. The site is almost full.

Beautiful place with a great view. We could not empty the toilet because neither we nor the others could find the drain. The owners were also nowhere to be found, and there was no map. A shame—for 450 NOK, not such a good place!

A small, friendly campsite. Very pleasant reception. Extraordinary view of the snow-covered mountains and the fjord. 400 NOK for a motorhome and two people right on the fjord, without electricity, is very reasonable. Very quiet and relaxing. Highly recommended.

Lovely small campsite. Very friendly owners. The sanitary facilities were clean. There is also a washing machine and dryer, as well as an oven and stove. The location is great with a wonderful view. You can start a short hike directly from the campsite. The night was very quiet.

The campsite is closed because of frost. Unfortunately, this was not stated online or anywhere else. Since we had a long journey, this was very disappointing. We also contacted the owner, who was not particularly communicative or friendly. What a shame.

Great campsite, most pitches have fantastic view of fjord and mountains. Can see Svartisen glacier. Nice 2 mile walk out to Furoy Point. Good facilities and friendly staff. 400 nok per night, showers and electricity included.

Medium-sized campsite with various cabins, some with fjord views, a tent meadow directly by the water, and pitches for campers and motorhomes. Friendly welcome. Laundry facilities available. Some cabins can still be booked on site even when online booking is no longer possible (online booking requires at least two days' notice). The cabin with a water connection was well equipped and had a small veranda.

Such lovely people here. We spent one night and did a load of laundry. It worked perfectly. There is even a drying rack that you can borrow and set up under the roof, right next to the laundry room.

Beautiful, slightly sloping site with friendly operators. The washing machine and dryer work with a coin-operated machine. 20 NOK buys one hour. The washing machine needs at least two hours, so 40 NOK. One dryer and one washing machine can be operated simultaneously. There are two washing machines and two dryers running continuously from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., when the laundry room is open. The sanitary facilities are clean, and the playground is good too.

Beautiful campsite. Well occupied by late afternoon. Wonderful view and beautifully located by the water. Most pitches have some kind of view, although those by the water are the nicest. Improvements would be the pitches themselves, which are all very uneven and require a lot of fiddling with leveling blocks, and the sanitary facilities. The showers are unfortunately not really clean. Fortunately, they are free, hot, and without annoying timers.

Beautiful site in an ideal location with a great view. The operators are very nice and there are plenty of sanitary facilities, although they could be cleaner. Some pitches are quite sloped, so for the first time we had to use our leveling blocks.

Excellent campsite. We intended to stay for one night, but it was so pleasant that we extended our stay. The lovely young woman at reception was extremely courteous and helpful; I assume she is the owner. Good facilities, well-spaced pitches, two water filling points, a grey-water drain, and a separate chemical-toilet drain. 400 NOK with electricity. Washing machine and dryer: 40 NOK. Too bad we had to leave.

The pitches at the front with views are great and make it worth staying if you get one. However many of the other pitches slope quite a bit. Also the service building isn’t great: lighting at the sinks is poor making it difficult to wash, the washing machine didn’t wash the clothes well and the showers were very grubby and needed a good clean/refresh. It’s convenient for the ferry terminal.

There is absolutely nothing to complain about! Nothing at all! Five points with conviction.

The location is very beautiful! But that is all: we rented a basic cabin without water. Two of the four windows were boarded up, and the third window could not be closed. So the cabin was very dark. The door was very difficult to close. Unfortunately, the showers were dirty. When there are many people on the site, it needs to be cleaned more often. We did not like it.
