49 Hough Green, CH4 8JW, Chester
Been here?
A spacious, peaceful car park beside a recreational park, with a café, daytime toilets, play areas and dog-walking routes. Chester centre is about a half hour walk away, and a bus stop is on the main road. Overnight stays are reported, but a warning says overnight camping is prohibited and may result in a fine. Toilets close when the café closes, reported as 4pm, and earlier reports give seasonal closing times.

Great spot for an overnight stay. Nice and quiet and close enough to Chester centre. Toilets now close at 4pm when the cafe closes though so plan ahead if you aren't self contained
nice and quiet at night, loads of space and toilets available on the day time
Slept here while on our way down to Barry Island, we had a great sleep and no disturbances during the night. Toilets are next to the café but shut at night. The city is only 40 minutes walk away
Stayed here last night. Very quiet and peaceful! Will definitely be back!
Spent A Friday And Saturday Night. Felt Very Safe . Locals Are Very Friendly. Would Definitely Recommend Coming Again. Loads Of Spaces . Nice Cafe A Bit Pricey. Good Play Area For Kids. No Signs Saying You Can't Stay Overnight.
lovely car park, felt very safe, until we started getting harassed by some doggers so had to move on
Please be aware that overnight camping is not permitted in this car park. There is a covenant in place prohibiting overnight camping and you risk being fined. Signs are due to be erected very soon stating this. Please be respectful and camp elsewhere. Thanks.
Great free place to visit Chester. We spent the night there. About a 30-minute walk to the city center, but it is worth it. Very beautiful city! There is a toilet available in the park. There is a Morrisons a few blocks away, already entering Wales.Translating
Free parking at a large recreational park. Short walks and children's play areas right next to the car park. Toilets available during the day, locked after 8pm in Summer. I believe there might also be a little cafe next to the toilets, but I didn't see that open. A few boy racers passed through in the evening but otherwise I felt very safe as a solo female camper.
Perfect for visiting this magnificent city of Chester. About 2 km from the city center. Flat and safe.Translating
Great place to stop overnight. You can park day & night for free. Toilets open 6AM - 9PM. Used by locals for all sports so will fill up in the evening time for a couple of hours, then it will empty just as quick.
