Been here?
This is a spacious marina parking area beside a large playground, close to Mandal’s small town and the ferry. It is paid, with a recent report listing 825 for motorhomes, and payment is made through EasyPark. There are no toilets, waste bins, or water and waste services on site. Conditions range from quiet to noisy, with occasional parties, traffic and many campers.

No services. Very quiet until 7 a.m. No leveling chocks are needed.
Beautifully located at the harbor. Short walk into the small town. Unfortunately, there are no dumping facilities, trash bins, or sanitary facilities. Rather impersonal and tightly packed. A hefty price for that. After all, you're only standing there.
Nice spot, quiet and clean. Pay with EasyPark; pay attention to the zone! Don't accidentally select the car tariff. 825 is for motorhomes. It was checked several times a day.
The place is clean and okay, with a good view of the marina. There is no wet sand here at all; it is simply lightly gravelled. EasyPark makes everything straightforward, and the town is probably a 10-minute walk away.
The spot's only advantage is its location. There was a party on some boat in the evening, but otherwise it was quiet. Payment via EasyPark.
Simple parking area at Mandal harbor. You can quickly walk into the center of the small but very pleasant town. The walk to the Uranienborg viewpoint is worthwhile, with a wonderful view over the town. The parking area offers no amenities (a toilet would be nice), and 270 kr is a little too much. But it is okay for one night.
The proximity to the town is great—that is also the only good thing. Wet sand as a surface, a permanent bouncy castle from the neighboring hotel, constant traffic in the large parking area, very loud cars with loud music at night, a Romanian van inspecting the place in the afternoon, and locals feeding seagulls next door. €25 per night for that. Never again!
We stayed here for two nights over May 17, Norway's national day. With check-in and check-out at the machine, we paid the equivalent of only €10 for the two days. Unfortunately, we found no way to dispose of our rubbish.
We liked the place. The town is close, there are shopping facilities and a great playground for children right next door. Water and waste disposal is available free of charge a few hundred meters farther on at the municipal facility. You can also park by the hour.
Great parking in the middle of Mandal. You will have Sun for solar all day here. A bit expensive to park for the full day but the access to the town is great.
The folk festival is over. We stayed there for one night.
On August 5, a folk festival was being set up. The parking area will probably remain closed for several days.
On August 3, 2025, from 4 p.m., the parking area will probably be closed for an event. The information does not say how long the closure will last.
Warning!!!! Last night someone tried to steal our bicycles from the bike rack on our motorhome. Since we noticed them handling the bike rack, we were able to chase the thief away. This matches the last comment from July 11, 2025.
Better than it first appears: close to the harbor, beaches, and town, with a pretty good view. It is checked every morning. Warning: apparently two bicycles were stolen from the neighbor last night.
It costs 270 NOK. Paid with the EasyPark app. Small restaurant right by the hotel overlooking the harbor. The town is quite nice. You can borrow a rowing boat for free directly at the site through BUA.
Very well located.
A great spot. We too had an Easypark app issue not listing the UK, although we used another country to access our already set up account and paid without issue. It's a fabulous place to stay for 24hrs and do the walk around the coast. There are many eateries in town and supermarkets. Well worth a stop-off.
Looked to be a good park up but unfortunately we were unable to use the Easypark app as it didn't recognise our UK registration plate. So we moved on.
The town is beautiful and within walking distance. However, 250 kroner for a parking area in an industrial zone is rather expensive, especially without services. There are enough spaces. Motorhomes over 7 meters are limited, however.
Flat parking. Nice town to walk about on both sides. Didn’t use any services.
Two stars because the parking area is occupied by a funfair until Sunday, August 11 (Mandal Shellfish Festival), with no alternative for motorhomes. We parked a little farther away near the green area (day parking only, but we think we can park there during the festival). Free, with a bin and services nearby—perfect for one night! Seems quiet.
Beautiful, spacious, and quiet parking area, with the town center and supermarkets five minutes away on foot, plus children's games. Payment by app. Ideal for one night.
View of the harbor, a little noisy, with a hotel right next door. We ate at Taille in the street, which is very good. Playground for children, and a very large parking area. However, it costs 250 NOK for one night with EasyPark.
It's okay for one night before or after the ferry. No services at all. Payment by app or machine.
