Hiking parking, no access

Superb view of the bridge and access to hiking trails, though not the most direct route for puffin watching.

This place is no longer accessible. Camping and caravanning are now prohibited.

Unfortunately, there is now also a sign saying camping is prohibited.

Great place to spend the night. Access is also possible with larger motorhomes. No waste disposal on site. Superb view.

Part of the site is under construction, so be careful not to obstruct access for the machinery in the morning. The construction workers are friendly, so don't hesitate to ask them if you're in the way. There is a somewhat agitated man who wanted us to leave, but I don't know who he is; he didn't introduce himself.

Ideal spot to start the hike to see the puffins (allow a good hour to reach the observation point; the hike starts halfway along the road leading to the site, with a steep slope at the beginning). By the water and quiet. Be careful of the large rock in the middle of the site!

Great spot, with the trailhead right next to it. You can reach the bird cliffs from this parking area via a fairly steep uphill path. You won't be alone; many people turned back in the evening, and the spot was full.

Great parking area. Please leave the place clean! And be considerate when parking, as the area fills up quickly in the evening when the campsite is full and the rest is prohibited! :)

Beautiful place. Spacious. Very uneven in places. The route to the puffins was very challenging, with a steep slope. Once at the top, it was beautiful. It may be easier to reach from the campsite.

Very nice spot, but really overcrowded. We arrived at 11:00 in the morning to an empty lot; when we returned from hiking around 20:00, there were easily 20 cars in the lot. Very cramped. Nevertheless, it was incredibly quiet and everyone was respectful of one another.

Perfect location to start the hike to the puffins. We stayed here for one night with about 10 other campers.

Wonderful place. Very quiet. Starting point for a lovely hike to the puffins, at the information sign. Bring good hiking shoes; it is quite steep.

Small dirt and gravel parking area for 6 or 7 vehicles. The spaces are not level. The hiking trail to see the puffins starts a few hundred metres away. From the parking area, we saw a seal, two white-tailed eagles, and other seabirds.

Very good place to start the hike to the puffins. The climb is very steep, so wear good footwear. Several campers were there, but everything was harmonious and quiet. Directly by the water, with a fantastic view.

Great place to hike to the puffins, and the hike to the lighthouse is also worthwhile! You won't be alone here, but it is still very quiet, and the hike is a dream.

Top spot to see the puffins! The hike starts about 300 metres from here. The place is popular and was almost full. Levelling blocks are needed!

A beautiful place for self-sufficient campers. Access is via a gravel road, but the site itself is level. We felt very comfortable here. A little farther on there is a tourist information station, where you can also get free hiking maps with routes for observing the birds.

Lovely spot, but there are many other campers. There are also 2–3 overflow spaces, where we parked because there was nothing free at the front. Great parking area after the bird walk.

Parking area directly by the sea. You probably won't be alone here, but the view is still great.

We slept here on 15 May 2024. Superb scenery from the rocks. Unfortunately, we could not see the puffins. Beware of the large rock in the middle of the parking area; we didn't see it and damaged our step. We saw an animal cross the road, I think it was an otter.

A truly fantastic place! We slept here for two nights in complete peace. If you pay attention, you might see an otter swimming past! Halfway along the road to this parking area there is a sign showing the hike to the bird cliff. It is great to wait at the viewpoint around 18:00 or 19:00, with a blanket and a warm sweater, for the puffins. Those who are patient can wait until they all fly one by one to the rocks, where you can admire them from a metre away! There is also a lovely information centre 38 minutes' walk away, where you can get coffee and pastries; I also noticed that they offer free Wi-Fi if needed. At the entrance to the centre you can find a walking route covering the whole island, taking about 3 hours, showing which birds can be spotted in each area. Enjoy!
