Bristol And Bath Railway Path, BA1, Bath
Been here?
A campsite with spacious pitches beside the river, convenient for visiting Bath by bus, bicycle, or on foot. The Park and Ride is nearby, and the site is generally quiet at night, although pitches near the carousel can be noisy from the A4. Sanitary facilities are dated, with narrow showers, and recent comments give mixed reports about cleanliness. Motorhome services are available.

Uncaring, dated campsite; the sanitary facilities are not very inviting. Otherwise okay for one night.
Dated but clean sanitary facilities. Avoid the carousel near the road. Pitches 1 to 7 are narrow but rather shaded. Pitches 8 to 61 are more spacious. Close to the Park and Ride shuttle that regularly goes to Bath. Very convenient. I recommend it.
Well maintained! Spacious pitches! However, the small pitches by the carousel are quite noisy because of the A4, which is not shown on the website’s site plan. Clean sanitary facilities are in a container. The showers are very cramped. From the site, you can walk or cycle along the river to a restaurant, pub, bakery, and also to Bath. Gladly again!
Basically a motorhome parking area without barriers. There is nothing except sanitary facilities and motorhome services. Shade depends on where you are. Quiet at night. On foot, you can follow the river along a neglected path. The bus is nearby.
Avoid this campsite if you do not have your own toilet and shower. It is extremely dirty. The campsite is not maintained. We have been in the United Kingdom for a month and have never encountered this problem. The campsite is close to the Park and Ride. That is its only advantage. I took photos that I will send to the management. Unacceptable.
We spent two nights in this well-divided site. The sanitary blocks are very well maintained. You can even rent boats for trips on the river.
Top campsite! Extremely friendly staff; the short-notice reservation was arranged by phone. Clean, with very large pitches. You can take the bus to Bristol and back for little money. Bath is within walking distance, or accessible by bus. If anyone wonders about the dirty showers and toilets, thank the inconsiderate fellow campers. They clean very well here!
Excellent campsite; the bus to the city center is 10 minutes away. The only drawback is the sanitary facilities, which in my opinion should be improved. Recommended.
I don't know what some people are looking for. The site has everything a parking area needs: waste disposal, showers, and so on. I even saw tents. You can quickly reach the city by bike; walking is also possible. Pub and bakery nearby. In June, two people with a panel van paid £33.
Excellent campsite. Beautifully laid out and pleasantly quiet. You park your camper on a concrete slab surrounded by plenty of grass and trees. Very beautiful. Bath is 15 minutes away by bike, with a cycle path along the river. The sanitary facilities are clean but very basic. I really do not understand the bad reviews. Four stars because the facilities are dated.
Beautiful site, clean sanitary facilities. €32 per night for a 6-meter motorhome is a very fair price, cheaper and better than most campsites we have experienced in Great Britain.
Camping is totally fine. The facilities are outdated, but not too bad. The location is amazing: there is a bus for £3,70 round trip to city center.
Online reservation was no longer possible for the same day, but arranging it by phone was easy and friendly. Large green site with large reinforced pitches. Two clean, basic sanitary containers for 85 pitches: two sets of three toilets and showers, plus two sinks. Ideal for cycling to Bath along the Avon.
Distinctly average. The site is convenient for Bath being a 40 minute walk into the city along the river or with the park and ride very close by but facilities are limited and outdated (clean enough though) and overpriced at £35 a night for the basic 6m pitch - more for larger pitches.
We spent two wonderful days at this campsite and were welcomed very warmly. The receptionist was extremely welcoming and friendly, and the campsite was pleasant, with good bathrooms. However, I had one unpleasant experience: when I left the shower already dressed, a man came in to clean without knocking or asking whether anyone was inside.
Pro: well connected to Bath, with bus service every few minutes. Cons: everything else. Facilities are old in big need of revamping. some are just a smelly container. Pitches are uneven, even the more expensive ones are damaged and your camper will be tilted. 15£ for a wash and dry, insane. Way too expensive for what they offer, but the only option around Bath.
Ideal for visiting Bath, on foot or by bus. The sanitary facilities lower the rating. Pros: proximity and connection to the city, online booking with pitch selection, relatively green. Cons: sanitary facilities too small and poorly maintained.
stayed here on the 8th of September 2025, paid £32/night for 2 adults on a standard pitch 6.8m Campervan with electric. 4km walk/cycle to Bath city centre along the river path and 4km back. Ideal place to stay to visit Bath city centre. Bath has an amazing Christmas market in December. The campsite has toilets, showers, fresh water, grey water and chemical toilet drops.
Stayed the last two nights. I don’t know why some people give this campsite a bad reputation: friendly staff, nice showers and toilets, all facilities conveniently located, nice spacious pitches, and a price of £32 per night. Easy access to Bath city center. All good!
Good location, quiet, and Bath’s Crescent is reachable in about 40–50 minutes. A taxi back in the evening costs about £11. Service okay, staff friendly, facilities okay—everything is there, just a little outdated.
A good stay with all facilities. Spacious pitches with good Wi-Fi coverage. Pleasant walk to Bath along the river or by bus.
Five stars because the manager was incredibly kind and managed to find us a pitch for several nights even though we had not booked and the campsite was full. Although we had to change pitches once, it was great! A pedestrian path to the city runs next to the campsite—30 minutes on foot or 15 minutes by bike. Basic but functional sanitary facilities.
Great campsite, perfect for cyclists because most of the other campsites are uphill, except Riverside Farm, which does not accept children. Children are welcome here. The showers were great. Large area for tents, not very flat, but fine for one or two nights!
We cycled from the campsite to the beautiful city of Bath. A must! The campsite is spacious, though the sanitary facilities could use some attention. I would reserve via the website. Fantastic laundry with large machines. A shop is five minutes away by bike.
good facilities, brilliant location. nice riverside walk to town or right next to park&ride bus we stayed on the smaller campercarousel pitch but bigger pitches are on pricier side
Certainly not luxurious and the sanitary facilities are not great, but it is well located for a city and very easy to reach by bike. We were pleasantly surprised. We had expected the campsite to be more depressing. Pitches are reasonably spacious.
Nice campsite with a superb location to enjoy the city of Bath… Pricey for what you get tho
