Staithes Street, NE6 3PZ, Hebburn
Been here?
This car park beside the River Tyne has woodland, a park area and good dog-walking opportunities. Street lights remain on all night, and larger vans can fit, although recent conditions included burnt-out cars and groups drinking. Sleeping may be affected by a trial ban, with no campers reported during a recent visit.

Great spot, but I think they are trialling a ban on sleeping here. Saw the article two days ago before heading for Scotland. 0 campers now. Two burnt out cars that have been dragged away. 4 cars of young people drinking. Guess I get it. Don't see how us just sleep for a night is related. Could be wrong. Google it first as its likely patrolled if fresh ban
Very nice spot no problem for large vans yes the car park lights stay on all night but if you follow the road up to the top it has much better views over the river Tyne gets a few fishermen early on
there is this carpark, but you can carry on, it will eventually cone to.a dead end, but a quiet spot for a few vans along there. Lovely spot, great dog walking area too, or just for yourselves. Good place to stop if you need an overnighter in a quiet area by the river. I absolutely love being near water as a park up
