Been here?
A free, flat and quiet parking area near Hoyos del Espino, close to walking routes, the village and the Tormes river. It has no services apart from rubbish bins, although toilets open when the tourist office opens. The 12 spaces are not clearly marked and the area can fill up; nights are quiet, but temperatures can fall below 0°C and police controls are reported.

Very peaceful place and good parking without services; people in the village are not very friendly. The Guardia Civil is on the lookout, so be careful—there are many checks aimed at fining motorhome users.
Excellent, free parkup. Sadly no services apart from rubbish bins so come prepared. Shade from many trees although they are a bit spread out. Nice a flat. Very quiet at night.
A very well-located parking area, close to hiking routes and the village. Next door is Alto Gredos restaurant, where the food is excellent and the staff are extremely friendly with motorhome users.
We have to thank the authorities for these spaces where motorhomes can park and spend the night, and for allowing the number of parked vehicles given the size of the parking area. This lets us discover the area and spend money in the village businesses. Other municipalities should take note. Suggestion: provide basic services for motorhomes, such as water.
Peaceful place in an ideal location for hiking.\nWe had to park outside the 12 designated motorhome spaces, but had no problems.\nWe asked at La Galana restaurant about the water tap and were told there is currently no fountain in the park, but we enjoyed an incredible meal there!
Thanks to the town council for this space. The surroundings are beautiful and perfect for hiking. We spent money in the village: the pizzas at La Galana (the rib pizza is incredible) and the muffins from Horno Viejo are a must.\n\nAs a suggestion for improvement: it is urgent to provide a water tap and grey-water drainage. There are toilets next door that could perhaps be used.
Quite a peaceful place to sleep. I couldn't find the water fountain indicated, but it was packed with people in March.
love this place! no services is the only bad thing. otherwise you have toilets that open when the tourist office opens. it's flat, really quiet to spend the night, just beware it gets cold often. 10min walk to the Tormes river and natural pool, 10min walk to the village with a restaurant close by. and from there you have all of Gredos beauty at your sight and reach for nature hikes.
Ideal parking for visiting the area and hiking. The 12 spaces are not clearly marked. There were many more than 12 motorhomes and there was no problem parking. The spaces are nicely level. Quite a few people used tables and chairs during the day and night. Then we complain when they ban us from parking.
Parking for a peaceful day and night. The surroundings are very beautiful; I recommend visiting the Duke's Bridge. We spent the night. Recommended place for families with children.
Perfect for the day and night. Flat, quiet, good views, a stone's throw from the village. Recommended!
Quiet spot for the night. Convenient for driving up to the platform for hiking. There is no water here. There are non-potable springs further down by the river. The toilets were closed during the entire time we were there.
Peaceful place. We were caught by a sudden snowfall and spent two days here. Good spaces, absolute peace and quiet. Wonderful scenery after the snowfall. About a 15-minute walk from the village, where there are bars, shops and a pharmacy.
Beautiful location for spending the night in a beautiful region.
Quiet and level place, with a walk down to the river and good views. We will return.
We came after seeing a sign saying this is the only place where spending the night in a motorhome is allowed in the entire municipality of Hoyos del Espino. The parking area doesn't have the charm of the surroundings, but it is fine, nothing more.
Although it says there are 13 spaces reserved for motorhomes, there were more than 20 motorhomes and campers. Only us and another 12 vehicles were in the legal spaces; the others spent the night in the parking area where overnight stays were prohibited, but nobody said anything and the police did not come. Very peaceful place to rest.
It's the second year we come here and we recommend it. We come here at night and during the day we go down to the area near the river after the Puente del Duque. The bathrooms are open from 9 til 15 except on a Monday. The Casa del Parque is next to the car park, so you can get all your info in there.
Good parking, but no services. The stones mentioned by the person below are there to prevent any vehicle from parking inside the forest, not just motorhomes.\nThere is usually a little black dog here that visits the caravans to say hello. Please don't treat him badly; he doesn't do anything wrong.
Good afternoon, fellow travelers. This year in Hoyos del Espino neither the town council nor the bars want us. They have put huge stones in places where we could park in the shade. They threaten us with very heavy fines.
The area is closed to public on 6/7 June 2025 due to Pop concert...
Super-quiet parking, without services.\nUnbeatable views.\nVery few people on weekdays.
We spent the night without any problem in an unauthorized space. Quiet place.
12 authorized spaces out of a total of 327; in the rest, parking is prohibited from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. under threat of heavy penalties. The reserved area is the worst part of the entire parking lot, closest to the road and somewhat sloped. No services. Ideal for doing what we like most in high season: sleeping packed together like sardines while the rest of the parking area remains empty.
Good place to rest peacefully and from there travel to nearby hiking routes, the Gredos platform, etc.
Beautiful and peaceful.
For what it is, very good. Quiet; there were six vehicles.\nHowever, some additional services for motorhome and camper users would not go amiss, as they are scarce in the area.\nThe Casa del Parque's opening hours are very limited, only in the mornings.
Today a fellow traveler was reported for emptying wastewater into a drain. In broad daylight, more fellow travelers could be seen doing the same thing. One does it and they all do it; on top of that, they get aggressive and refuse to listen. Then it smells of excrement. I think more than one person empties their toilet cassette here. There is a campsite 200 meters away where you can empty it. In the end they will close the parking area because of a few filthy people.
Super-quiet place to spend the night, with four containers and level parking spaces. Very beautiful views of the mountain range too.
We stayed here for three nights. It is a beautiful area. At night you can sleep in complete peace. The Gredos Platform is 12 km away and there are lots of hiking routes from there. Las Chorreras is 3 km away, with a beautiful walk. Near the campsite there is also a natural pool and the river.
During the day you can stay anywhere in the parking area, looking for a bit of shade, except in the area reserved for customers of the tree adventure park, which is highly recommended. At night (11 p.m.–7 a.m.), go to the permitted area.\nThere are four containers.\nYou can walk down to the campsite, natural pool and river in 10 minutes through the pine forest, perfect with dogs.
