Been here?
Large parking area with minimal lighting and no services. Older reports described quiet nights and plenty of space beside a park with views over Trieste. A recent stay was disrupted by dogs barking all night from nearby kennels. The parking area has also been reported as private, with Carabinieri stating that sleeping there is prohibited.

Do not park here !! don’t be fooled by what we can only assume is a long term storage motorhome. We had a peaceful afternoon, few walkers passing by but when we went to bed, the neighbouring dog park/kennels must’ve just let the dogs out to bark all night. We have it an hour before deciding to move on. And ignore the gravel patch on the neighbouring side- no way of levelling/parking there either !
Quiet, minimal lighting.
The parking lot really looks exactly like it does in the pictures - completely empty! This made me question whether it was a good idea to spend the night here, and we decided to choose one of the points by the harbor low down in the city.
The Carabinieri arrived in the morning to inform us that sleeping in this private parking lot is prohibited. No fine, though.
A good parking place, but the claim that you are in the center by bike in 20 minutes is actually 40 minutes. Moreover, it is almost impossible to cycle back: 1. You ride along busy roads, with no alternative routes in sight. 2. The return journey is constantly uphill, and this, ladies and gentlemen, seemed like a very difficult task even with an electric bike and an experienced cyclist.
Super quiet location, right next to a beautiful park that offers breathtaking views of the whole of Trieste. Plenty of space, I slept here alone.
There is another, more hidden parking area nearby, and even a few spots farther up in nature. Next to a busy road, but it was not bothersome; the night was quiet. It’s great!
Many spaces. Empty on Saturday night. Very quiet. Streetlights at night. No additional facilities.
We stayed here for one night without any problems, from 6 p.m. until 11 a.m. The night was quiet.
