Allée des Maronniers, 11410, Salles-sur-l'Hers
Been here?
Free wooded area for 8 motorhomes with sloped terrain, positioned next to the stadium. Only two power outlets are available for all eight spots, and the water connection requires a special male-to-male adapter. Shops are nearby, but the narrow approach road via D15 demands care. Water supply cuts in winter. Very limited facilities and shared amenities.

Very good for one night, but arrive via the D15 because the village is very narrow.
I stopped by and left again: two electrical outlets for eight spaces, and as is often the case when it’s free, some motorhomes are practically permanently glued to the ground—they never move.
For those who have been trapped by the connection system or, like me, taken an involuntary shower, there is a Gardena flow-regulating connector, reference 18266-20, available in many DIY stores for around €12–13. This little device will solve all your problems. I would have liked to add a photo, but that isn’t possible.
Quiet place but not particularly pleasant; we drove on.
Quiet place, electricity works. Very good bakery.
It is sloping, but a little flatter further down. For water, you need a male-to-male connector. Charming shopkeepers, a very good butcher, and excellent local products at the small supermarket, especially butter and cheese. Yes, there are only two outlets, but every time I have visited I managed to arrange it. Just ask.
Nice place but no fresh water; it needs a special attachment. But the behaviour! We arrived around 5pm, and four vans already occupied the two sockets, left plugged in all night. Two left during the morning, while the other two stayed for several more days with their curtains closed and never unplugged themselves, despite having solar panels on the roof as well! So we and others couldn’t use the sockets or get electricity. Shame on you!
Lovely service area provided by the municipality, but we couldn’t get drinking water because the water connection is non-standard, making it impossible to attach the hose. What a shame!
The water doesn’t work.
Only worth approaching if you need to empty your tanks. The place is very steep for sleeping. We left immediately.
Good for grey water and toilet waste, but the fresh-water connection needs a special push-fit connector, which we didn’t have. We uploaded a photo showing the connection.
Useless. Some motorhomes are parked there year-round, so no electricity is available, and the ground is sloping.
Oops, there was a wedding, so we didn’t stay.
Shady service area on a slope opposite the stadium. Quiet, dead-end road. Water, waste disposal and electricity (two outlets) are free. Benches and bins. The only drawback: the bells ring every hour, even at night. Thank you to the municipality.
Excellent place for a quiet overnight stay, with lots of shade. Facilities are fine. For drinking water, you have to push the coupling piece into the tap. Be careful: the water sprays out immediately, so make sure you have a hose attached or a watering can underneath. Thanks to the municipality for this free place.
Lovely little place. Quiet night. Pizzeria in the village. Thanks to my municipality. Free parking.
Thanks to the municipality. A nice service area; for the one night we spent there, it was sufficient for what we wanted to do. Small local shops, a grocery store and butcher.
Very nice service area with all facilities, including electricity! Thanks to the municipality. We will gladly return!
Quiet. The spaces are highly sought-after. Two free electrical outlets, ideal for a van, with waste disposal and water refill.
Very nice, slightly sloping service area accessible for vehicles up to 7.5m, with all services free. Very quiet at night, with only birdsong during the holiday period. Many thanks to the municipality for welcoming us.
A very practical, clean and free area, with nearby shops for supplies. A lovely discovery, and many thanks to the municipality for this welcoming place!
Many thanks to the municipality for welcoming motorhomes. All services work. Very quiet night.
Everything worked well when we visited. Thanks to the town hall for the area and free services.
Good pitch. The neighbouring school brings us the sound of children laughing. Thanks to the town hall.
Poor parking, no more electricity, difficult waste disposal and a real invasion of tiger mosquitoes—several unpleasant bites. On top of that, all the school cars arrive very quickly to turn around in the area, passing just centimetres from the motorhomes. We won’t be going back.
