A spacious truck lay-by with no services, suitable for a basic overnight stop. It is generally flat and set back from the road, though traffic noise can be noticeable and the area may fill with lorries and other vehicles. A sandwich or breakfast cabin nearby may be open in the morning. Arrive early when demand is high.

stayed here a few times when passing. not bad area. some road noise then again you are in layby just of it. decent sandwich cabin open in the motning.
Terrible parking lay-by. Monday at 5 p.m., completely packed with trucks.
stayed here on the 24/5/2026 not to bad of a parkup, had a little road noise on a evening. but was ok. Will definitely stay here again if I'm passing that way.

Stopped here in daisy our VW T4 Camper van, Arrived @ midnight yes many vehicles here Lorrie’s, motorhomes/camper vans, and cars, but at that time very quiet, in the morning from about 6.30am the main road is getting busy but not to loud, but we are in a insulated camper NOT in a car or panel van. we felt very safe would we use this park up again YES main services 3/4 away, fuel food and pub.
For me, only an emergency solution. It is very noisy and, as already described, several cars repeatedly drive back and forth. I did not feel safe, especially because many trucks passed far too close to my car. I left again fairly quickly.
Great for overnight, some road noise but had a great night's sleep
Rest area next to the highway. No services, and many truck drivers stop overnight, so arrive early to get a space. It is the kind of place for one night when there is no other option.
Tried out our new van here nice little lay-by the cafe wasn’t open when we was there but plenty of space to park. A bit load from the road next to us but wasn’t an issue.
stayed here 2nd time . very good place to stay and always has plenty of spaces available. road next to it but this time didn't bother us, maybe because this time we slept in well isolated camper and not in car.
Stayed first time. plenty of space, caffe next to it with good breakfast options. too noisy for me but I guess that's normal when you park near main road. plenty of other vehicles coming on going but no one disturbed us.
My 5 start for the breakfast cafe - it was excellent: genuine feel, good food, friendy staff, reasonable prices. Can't imagine a better days' start :)
