A large, shaded wild spot on the banks of the Cher, with plenty of room for large vehicles and a nearby beach. The setting offers 360-degree nature views, but recent reports mention rubbish, green algae on the low river level, mosquitoes, and occasional local activity. Access includes 1.5 km of dirt track, and the barrier is 1.90m when closed.

Very good shaded spot. There are anti-vanlife rubbish bins and anti-gentrification mosquitoes. Plenty of spaces for large trucks. No hikers, perfect for letting the dogs run free.
The 1.90 m barrier was open. However, the place was very dirty: cans, toilet paper, chip packets, etc. We only stopped to cool off during the day. Lots of green algae on the surface because of the low water level. Locals were fishing. Along the dirt road for 1.5 km, there are many spots that seem suitable for overnight stays, flat and shaded. Perhaps quieter than the small beach?
A magnificent spot with 360-degree nature views if, like us, you have no curtains ;-) The river is beautiful and so is the beach. What a shame to see all the litter left after scooter parties, beer, and so on. In short, we were lucky not to see anyone, but this should be taken into account because it must happen often, especially on Saturday nights.
Very nice place, although sometimes you may encounter paranoid old folks who do not like techno.
We had to leave at 6 p.m. because three young people arrived, in their own words, to get high and get drunk... The techno music was already blasting. They arrived with a bag of charcoal... We had barely left to find a better place farther along the path when they started firing gunshots.
Warning: a 1.90 m height limit was recently installed, making it impossible to pass through (Mercedes Marco Polo).
Super spot. There is another access route without a height limit. Great for one night or longer.
We did not find a beach, but a very pleasant place beside the Cher. Large grassy parking area with plenty of space, very quiet outside a small village. Be careful: the 2 m barrier at the entrance has been repaired, so it is no longer accessible to motorhomes and vans.
Pleasant place; be sure to bring mosquito repellent because there are quite a few.
The barrier is broken, so it is currently accessible to everyone. For motorhomes, it is possible to park before the road with large potholes. No beach, but pleasant camping spots. Very beautiful place, pleasant and quiet beach. The litter is indeed still there. Follow the signs toward the campsite.
Superb spot with a private beach on the Cher; we spent a peaceful night listening to the frogs.
Lovely spot in nature, close to the motorway, with access to a beach on the Cher. It is just a shame there is quite a lot of litter. More suitable for vans because of the potholes on the way there.
