1 Rua Monsenhor Avelino Gonçalves, 4950, Monção
Been here?
A large, partly shaded free car park at the foot of the fortress, close to Monção’s historic centre. It has no dedicated services, although toilets and rubbish bins are nearby. Overnight stays can be quiet, but the ground is somewhat sloped and market days can make parking busy or unavailable.

For one night, very good, some shade, not completely level, pretty walls, close to the historic centre.
We spent a quiet and safe night, with no noise and no one else there. Well located for visiting the city. Sloped, so it is better to use levelling blocks.
Very quiet night, but we were woken at 7 a.m. by the municipal employee's leaf blower. Toilets nearby, and the town centre as well.
We parked there for 2 hours for visiting the city center which is 5 minutes away by foot. Parking is flat and free but there aren't any services except few garbage bins. On the 4° Saturday of all months there is a market, it is possible to park but it is busy.
Thursday is feira (market) day. No parking available.
I was born in this village; it is a good place to spend the night and visit.
