Been here?
A large parking area directly by the sea, with clean public toilets, garbage disposal, a small sandy beach and a café or kiosk nearby. It is a strong base for coastal walks and visits to the Hammershus Castle and Opalsee, with flat spaces and easy access. The area is generally calm at night but becomes busy with tourists from around 10h. Algae can cause an unpleasant smell.

Great location for hiking or visiting the castle. The parking area is very large and around 10 campers stayed overnight! There is also a small sandy beach! The only drawback is the smell of the algae!
Really nice place to spend the night! Clean toilets, and a nice view!
Great place for an overnight stay with a view of the sea and a good starting point for walks, for example to the ruins. There is also a snack bar at the harbor.
On Ascension Day, we stayed there with about 10 neighbors, directly behind the shoreline reinforcement. An evening walk to the castle ruins in beautiful evening sunshine. The next morning, there was some activity from arriving day visitors. Nevertheless, it was a quiet atmosphere and a great starting point for the circular hike. Fantastic.
The three of us stayed overnight here in September. Tourists start arriving around 10 a.m.; until then it is quiet. Clean toilets and waste disposal available.
Beautiful place, and now in the low season it is not very busy either. Opal Lake and Hammershus Castle ruins are easily reachable on foot.
Beautiful place. There are toilets and facilities here. Various trips can be taken from here.
Great parking area, but currently there are many motorhomes.
We are here now—mega beautiful. Close to the water, where you can enjoy the sunset.
Lovely place with a beautiful view all around. It is right on the Hammerknude circular hiking route.
Quiet in easterly winds, currently dusty when the wind comes from the mountain. Busy during the day because of other visitors.
Beautiful place. Little crowdy during a day but at night very calm. There is a kiosk (snadwiches, icecream, caffee, drinks). Toilets available, showers only for sailors. Perfect spot to start walk to the Hammershus Castle.
We spent one night here directly by the sea. With strong winds during the night, it was quite noisy in the high-roof van, but it was pure nature. Toilets and a place to wash dishes with hot water are freely accessible; only the showers require a code.
Great free motorhome pitch. Two public toilets, dishwashing facilities, and a common room with a small kitchen. Snack bar with ice cream, delicious hot dogs, and more. The harbor's sanitary facilities can only be used with an access code. To get one, you have to book a berth at the machine (164 kroner per day). Perfect starting point for the coastal hiking trail and Hammershus. We stayed here for three nights directly by the sea.
Lovely place by the water's edge. Toilet in the harbor's service building. Possibility of a beautiful sunset, but today it was cloudy.
Super lovely parking area with a view. Two toilets are open here at the end of March. Within walking distance of both Hammershus and Opal Lake.
We can only agree with the statement “most beautiful place.” What a wonderful view of the sea and Hammershus. Hikers and dogs will really enjoy the surroundings. And if that is not enough, there is a snack bar with super delicious hot dogs. It doesn't get better than this, if you are self-sufficient.
For a free overnight stay, it hardly gets more beautiful. We parked four meters from the water's edge. At night, the only thing you hear is the water. Free, clean public toilets are available. You cannot ask for more.
Place with beautiful sunsets. Great point for walking around the northern part of island. Directly at the sea. Quite a lot of campers were parking here.
Beautiful pitch without restrictions; we stayed here with many other campers directly by the sea. Kiosk with delicious ice cream and more, toilets and a sink for washing dishes available. Showers are only possible if you book a berth. Wi-Fi did not work for us; unfortunately, there is no proper access to the water.
Fantastic pitch for vans and motorhomes, directly on the Baltic Sea—nothing better :-)))) I can only agree with the comments: free and, for us, the most beautiful place on Bornholm. Highly recommended and five stars from us. Truly a hammer, with a view of Hammershus!
Super beautiful! Great view.
Great place, directly by the sea. Toilet available. Additional services (shower/Wi-Fi) are available via a code from the marina's payment machine. The common room has a kitchenette and seating. The kiosk sells ice cream, cake, sandwiches, and drinks.
