La Coinchette, 05320, La Grave
Been here?
A quiet, level parking area in La Grave with mountain views, useful for visiting the centre and starting walks. There are no specific day or night limitations, but on Thursdays you must leave from 7:13 for the weekly market. A refill tap is available under the ski lift, with bins and public toilets nearby; the toilets may sometimes be locked in the evening. Shops, tourist information, a bakery and a hiking shop are close by.

This car park has no specific daytime or nighttime restrictions. The only thing to note is that on Thursdays from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. you must leave for the weekly market. The area with the 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. restriction is on the other side, the La Grave cable-car car park. Very quiet, but very hot during the day.
great day spot for visiting the centre. nice hiking shop, tourist info and bakery nearby. daytime only. good internet here
It’s true an interdit aux camping-cars sign has appeared on this park up. We’ve stayed here four years in a row and speaking to people in the Gite the sign applies to the lower car park (where the seasonaires still park). We stayed along with others in the upper car park by the EV charge point and heli pad no problem.
Correction: the sign indicates that motorhomes are prohibited from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. I cannot add the photo. But it is good for visiting the city.
Brand-new signs indicate that motorhomes are prohibited between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m. On August 6, many of us were still sleeping at this magnificent spot, but unfortunately that is coming to an end.
Quiet parking with a beautiful view of the mountain, toilets nearby, and a water hose at the bottom of the ski lifts.
Seems to be a very good spot. Be careful: there is a market on Thursday mornings, so no sleeping in!
Perfect motorhome pitch.
Permitted. Amazing views. Some flat spots.
Super place and plenty of parking even for tall and long camper. No height restrictions. Locals lovely and welcoming in summer. As said by others, lift station has toilets and bike wash which can be used for water refill. There’s also public toilets in the square. Local shop a stones throw away. Perfect position at the foot of the Meije and lift.
Very quiet place with spectacular views of the glacier. Public toilets are open during the day, and the village is also very beautiful.
