City parking where it is possible to sleep. We paid €12 from 9 p.m. to noon. Water filling and emptying available. Facilities available, but no showers.Translating
We stopped here to take the walk to the church on Le Roc and spend the night. Safe, clean area with an ecological waste collection point. Toilets not particularly clean. The village is right at the exit of the area. We had a very pleasant stay.Translating
Wonderful place, everything within walking distance: bakery, terraces, and the delightful old town. Enjoy it all.Translating
Free for the first 15 minutes, free water filling and emptying, 20 cents for 30 minutes.Translating
A little expensive compared with the campsite, which is located a little farther away. I knew it not long ago at half the price.Translating
Yes, it is a parking lot, so if you stay for one hour, you pay for one hour. But if you want to use the service facilities, that is possible; we took 20 minutes to fill water, use the toilet service, empty, and so on, and paid €0.40. The exit from the parking lot is a little difficult, but easily manageable. Translating
Indecent price for an area shared with cars and without any comfort or services. Besides, the little town of Castellane is absolutely unremarkable.Translating
Thanks to the town of Castellane for the free, well-maintained emptying and water facilities. Parking is shared with cars and is paid hourly during the day, or overnight parking is possible for €19.20 per 24 hours.Translating
Parking at the entrance to Castellane, with a very reasonable price for the ability to fill up with water and empty tanks. All this is included in the parking price. Exit is possible even for an 8-meter motorhome with no height restriction, provided you are reasonably skillful; it is not impossible. Recommended.Translating
Far too expensive for spending the night. What a shame! We drove on.Translating
Excellent place near the center. Quiet at night. Water filling and emptying available.Translating
Paid parking, €0.80 per hour. Too bad there is no electricity. You absolutely should climb the Roc de Notre-Dame, a two-hour round trip. Quiet parking at night. Castellane is a lovely little village.Translating
Quiet parking area on the edge of the village. Water and waste services are fine. Currently still free. Thanks to the municipality.Translating
Quiet place to sleep, with services such as public toilets, gray-water emptying, and water. Next to the village, barrier raised, and free these days.Translating
Still free today. Lovely walks, including to the Saint-Roch chapel, with an elevation gain of 163 meters.Translating
Free aire today because the barriers are absent. Paved parking. Water available.Translating
The barrier is broken, so parking is currently free. A very quiet night near the Verdon. Village nearby.Translating
18/10/25 Was Just a car park €17.60 services worked. 5 minute walk to small pretty town disappointing Saturday market compared to others we have visited in the area. We walked up steps at end of car Park and followed the road to footpath on left to notre dame chapel on top of rock then went back down different path to town. Nice ruins to visit at the top.
Indeed, it is a little expensive for one night, even though the services are free and the public toilets are acceptable compared with others. Fortunately, the proximity of shops and restaurants helps offset the cost. This new toll installation will drive motorhomes toward the Resistance Museum or the campsite near Auchan!Translating
Beautiful, quiet place to spend the night—you can only hear the river :). The toilets are very clean, and the little town is charming. In the morning, it was NOT possible to leave through the “normal” barrier with our 8.30-meter motorhome when the parking area was busy. A very friendly policewoman who happened to be there helped us and opened a “service barrier” for us—thank you!Translating
€16.20 for 24 hours. Very pleasant little village, with all kinds of shops. We ate an excellent crêpe with hot chocolate; it was delicious. A lovely Provençal market on Wednesday morning. We will gladly return.Translating
Milo584 covers the place in detail. Pretty level flat hard standing, can be a bit close with some people. Fair play to the town, the toilets were basic but clean, with loo roll. Quiet nights sleep both of them. The Saturday market is good and the Chicken vendor in front of the Marie is excellent. Good boulangerie close to the parking. Castellanne is a lovely provencial town well worth a visit.
Large Aire with designated Motorhome spaces. Shaded at the rear of the Aire. Barrier entry with ANPR and pay fee on exit - 16 euros for our 18hr stay. Toilets, grey and toilet drop point, and fresh water. Castellane is a beautiful town to walk round with lots of shops, historic buildings, restaurants and ice cream parlours everywhere you look
Much too expensive for what it is.
Perhaps the supposedly free overnight stay mentioned in previous comments only applies to the week around Ferragosto! The parking is currently paid; we stayed half an hour and left!
Excellent location, a two-minute walk from the small but charming village. Quiet at night. It is free throughout August (they say it is a French custom for all paid parking areas).
We came for afternoon walk around the city and dinner, additionally we were able to do service. For short time is not that expensive but if you want to spend whole day it could be cheaper. We were there on 24th of July and it was paid now from the comments I see that it is free.
As of today, the barrier is open again and you can park there for free. Very close to the city center. Extremely quiet at night, with little or no traffic noise. No electricity available. The other water and emptying facilities are free. There are spaces for 10 campers, but yesterday we counted around 20.
The price has tripled in one year, and it is no longer a motorhome area because cars also park there. Only two motorhomes are parked, whereas normally there are around 15. €19.60 per 24 hours is exorbitant for sitting on asphalt. Even the shopkeepers are unhappy. The town is driving motorhome travelers away. AVOID.
Parking with gray-water disposal and a water tap. Very quiet and convenient for reaching the center of Castellane on foot. Reasonably priced, around €13 from late afternoon until the following morning.
