P75 KA03, Glengarriff
Been here?
Level, clean parking at the Glengarriff ferry pier, with a pleasant view and a short walk into the village. The ferry to Garinish Island leaves from here, and a freshwater tap is beside the ticket office. It can become very busy during the day with ferry vehicles, while evenings are quieter. Overnight stays have recently been possible, but parking should not obstruct ferry users.

Quiet, level, clean. Beautiful view and a starting point for a 4 km hike. Close to town. Empty in the evening; during the day it may be difficult. Great for overnighting! No prohibited signs!
We filled up with water after closing time so as not to disturb anyone. Many thanks!
It’s a beautiful area & view from the parking, but we walked to check this out 16/4/25 and there’s a hand written sign attached to a cone saying “no overnight parking”.
Quiet place with a lovely park nearby. Nice shops and an excellent fish and chips place at Jack's. For parking, avoid having more than 3 or 4 small motorhomes or vans, as the spaces are for people taking the ferry. This will help preserve the right to use this peaceful and pleasant place. Thank you.
Great water connection. For older Android versions, there is the Refill app, where you can find water taps.
Great place. The first ferry during August is at 09:15. I left at 08:10, before the workers had arrived, but the 6 other vans weren't awake. I suggest leaving by 08:30.
Great place, quiet by the water. Good for fishing. However, you need to leave early in the morning to free up the space for the many cars that come to park and take the boat.
Very much a come late leave early spot so as not to annoy the local workers. But we had the most gorgeous night there. Level and quite and a lovely short walk to the beautiful village! Really loved it. There are gorgeous walks around the area. They are doing a fantastic job with the village as a whole. Will definitely be back.
A small, very peaceful car park with a lovely walk to the small town. The port staff asked us not to park on the esplanade, but rather along the access road under the trees so as not to obstruct cars. Access to the water tap is fully permitted, but it is best to wait until evening when there are no more cars, so as not to cause inconvenience.
Very quiet at night. Level pitch. Pier for Garinish Island.
had a beautiful peaceful evening here, found a level place to park, 6 other campers, but very quiet, had a good nights sleep. The area got very busy just after 8am, next morning so best to be moving on around that time. Good wifi reception, freshwater tap nearby, excellent park up to explore the village just a few hundred meters away. also a nice small park area. There is a Service station,
Beautiful and quiet. A few minutes' walk from pubs and restaurants.
