A free riverside parking area at the start of hikes towards Mount Keen, surrounded by sheep and rabbits. There are bins for general and dog waste, but no toilets at the site. Nights are very quiet, although hikers begin arriving early and the car park can fill before 7am, especially at weekends.

Great spot to overnight before hiking Mount Keen. No toilets. Bins for humans & bin for dog waste. Beside a stream. Lots of sheep & rabbits. Free parking. Very quiet. About 6 vans stayed over last night. Carpark starts filling up early, folk arriving before 7am. I'm on Three & managed to listen to bbcsounds & browse Internet but pages loaded slowly.
Nice and quiet on a Friday night, with myself and two other campers staying overnight. If visiting for the day, the car park fills quickly; I returned from the climb around 11 a.m. to find it full, after leaving with only two cars there.
Very nice spot that is almost full from Friday evening through the weekend. Come early to find a place; park perpendicular to leave room for others. It is very quiet except for hikers coming and going from 7–8 a.m. on weekends. Great hikes start from this spot. No services and no shops. Buy supplies and empty waste beforehand.
Great place to stay after climbing Mount Keen. Fairly level very quiet at night 2 bins and toilets at tarfside 1 bar of 4g on o2
Very nice place, especially for going on great hikes. Incredibly beautiful area; be sure to visit the folk museum! The parking area is very busy in the mornings.
Fantastic park up. Bins, dog waste bin. Point for leaving to climb Mount Keen, and visit the Queens well. Most spaces will require leveling ramps. Be aware that there is zero mobile or Internet signal here, otherwise is idyllic.
Very peaceful nights sleep near river and nothing but sheep and the odd sheep farmer on a quad. Quite big carpark but fills up fast with hikers, best get there first thing or at the end of the day when hikers are leaving. No facilities, but bins and toilets couple of miles down the glen in Tarfside.
Beautiful little spot! Stayed two nights while walking the surrounding hills and Mount Keen. There definitely are bins there, one by the info board which filled up fast, but two big ones in the car park! Chatted with a park ranger who had no problem us being there. Only gripe is the local workers, gamekeepers etc who seem to be in competition for who can drive past the car park the fastest!
