Campingplatz Målselvfossen

Stayed here for one night. The place has seen better days. There is no reception. The pool area is closed. No kiosk or place to buy anything. Never found a place to empty the gray water. No clear marking of parking place. It is very expensive to stay there (400 Norwegian kroner for an autocamper) when there aren't any facilities. It costs extra to use the showers.

Very spacious, clean bathrooms and showers. Good kitchen. You can wash and dry clothes. Very inhospitable surroundings, but safe. I liked it. If you walk a little, there is a beautiful waterfall.

After visiting the waterfall, we decided to go to this campsite, which initially looked welcoming. When we arrived, nobody was there, but that was not too bothersome. After looking at the pitches for motorhomes, we decided to turn around. Pitches had been hastily arranged along the river, with only two power outlets.

No one works here so there is no one to ask where to park. It advertises a pool which is not open. The male showers don’t work, it takes your money and then dribbles out cold water. Do not waste your money here

Generally okay, but no more than that. The whole site has potential, but everything is rather run-down. Showers require coins. The river is quite nice, though. Payment is made at a parking meter: 350 NOK. In my opinion, too expensive for the condition and with no one to contact.

Campsite by the river, which is the positive point. However, the buildings are very dilapidated. The sanitary facilities are clean. No reception: payment is through an automatic machine that is fairly incomprehensible, entirely in Norwegian like everything else. No information about the location of the various services. The price is now 350 kroner with electricity but without showers. That is expensive!

Nice site, showers and toilets clean. Water and waste facilities available. Outdoor pool open. One star deducted because the motorhome pitches are not very nice; electricity is included in the price, but not every pitch has a power post, with the nearest one 50–100 m away.

A little remote, but a beautiful site beside the rapids of Malsevfossen. Old, run-down building; sanitary facilities dirty, clearly not cleaned for a long time. The newer building with sanitary facilities is cleaner and friendlier; sink, kitchen, and washing machine available. Showers require 10-kroner coins. Payment is only possible at the machine in the old building. Fine for one night.

Only stopped for services. Black water disposal is next to the bin or toilet block, indicated on the door. Hand soap inside. Fresh water may be available at the front of the toilet block; the hose and sign are clearly visible. Gray water disposal is opposite reception, just a sloped grate. No one at reception; it is automated. No information about the services.

It’s spacious, it’s quiet, it’s basic, it’s an absolute no frills gem. No need to speak to anyone to check in. You just drive up, find a spot, and pay at the parking machine (which works like any other parking machine). If you fish you should def come here and throw out in the adjacent river. Every single fisher I saw came back with a giant dinner.

We spent one night at the site. It is directly beside a river with a strong current, apparently a paradise for anglers, although we are not anglers. The site looks neglected. Many permanent campers. No reception, only a machine whose operation is somewhat tricky if you do not speak Norwegian, but manageable: 330 NOK for one night including electricity. The sanitary facilities are not as old as the building looks from outside, but the cleanliness was not satisfactory.

Incredibly, the site is supposedly open all year. That is not much use when the pitches are not cleared of snow. I do not need to try parking in half a meter of snow while it is snowing. The machine is also far from intuitive. Without the help of someone passing by, I would not even have been able to get a parking ticket.
