Camping San Nicolò Bardolino

I would give 4.5 stars if that were possible. Yes, the toilets are a little dated, but they were always clean. We were here for the first time in 2024 and again in 2026, and we would always come back. It might be nice to have a soap dispenser in the toilets for handwashing, just a small suggestion. Otherwise, friendly staff; we would return anytime.

The campsite is ideal for visitors touring the city, which can be reached on foot in a few minutes. The campsite is quite small and right on the water. The sanitary facilities are a disgrace and an absolute disaster. The site is advertised as dog-friendly with a dog beach, but this was removed and replaced with even more prohibition signs every few meters.

The campsite has a great location and beautiful surroundings. The city center and supermarket are within walking distance. Great lakeside promenade. The sanitary facilities are unacceptable.

Immaculate Conception holiday weekend. Camping in a truly strategic location, 5 minutes on foot from the center along the lakeside promenade. We chose a pitch by the shore, with a beautiful view; clean bathrooms and friendly managers. The pitches may be a little small, but my 7.30-meter camper fit well with two maneuvers. They are not very far apart, but it is comfortable. We will return in summer.

Right on the lake, practical for walking to Bardolino in 10 minutes along the pretty promenade. In our opinion, the pitches are large enough for 7 meters, but the roads to the pitches are very, very narrow. Watch your exterior mirrors.

Wonderful place directly by the water and just a few minutes’ walk from the small, beautiful town of Bardolino. We felt very comfortable and enjoyed a relaxing time in October!

Fantastisch you had a place for one night. Almost next to the lake. Little bit onder bit very clean sjouwers and toilets. 10 min walk to the centre of town. Wonderful time.

Beautiful campsite directly by the water. Bardolino is also a very sweet little town with many shops and restaurants. The sanitary facilities are somewhat outdated and not clean. Toilet paper and soap were provided. Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed on the adjacent beach, but about 10 minutes farther on there are large pebble beaches with plenty of water access.

Perfect for Bardolino and Lake Garda, great for cooling off in the lake every day and strolling through the town in the evening, or whatever you like :)

Excellent value for money! We originally booked 6 nights, paid a small deposit, and were assigned a pitch. It was so nice that we extended by 2 more nights, although we had to change pitches, which was no problem. Check-in went smoothly and everyone was very friendly. The location near the town and direct access to the water make up for the dated—but clean—sanitary facilities. Dogs are not allowed to stay on the beach or relieve themselves there, but it is tolerated if they briefly enter the water. We would be happy to return.

The location is generally good for exploring Bardolino on foot. I would not recommend this campsite to dog owners. There is one prohibition sign after another. If you approach the “beach” (a 2-meter sloping lawn), it takes less than 30 seconds before holidaymakers reprimand you. The sanitary facilities are old and neglected. We would not visit this site again.

The price-performance ratio is fine. The sanitary facilities are not new but very clean. I would visit the site again.

April: 3 people in a camper for one night, with the possibility of staying until the following evening. €60 for the period seems excessive to me, and it is obvious that they prefer Germans and Austrians. Overall, the site is not bad.

Somewhat unusual check-in: first a pre-check-in in front of the site, then a check-in 20 meters farther on. The site is beautifully located directly by the lake, with access from all pitches. Bardolino is within walking distance. The sanitary facilities are clean and well maintained, although no longer new. The pitches just behind the entrance are the smallest; farther back they are larger.

Our place!!! We were here last year and actually wanted to try somewhere new. But this site, directly on the lake, without through traffic and within walking distance of the wonderful town, is simply too beautiful. Swimming in the lake is a must, as are bike rides in this region.

All in all, fairly spacious pitches at a municipal campsite. The sanitary facilities are dated. Staff very unfriendly, and security absolutely unfriendly. The pizzeria on site is nothing special. Small shop on site with only the bare essentials. If rules are established, they should also be enforced, for example dogs on the beach, noise, and parking. Very poor Wi-Fi.

Wonderful campsite with direct access to the lake. Very friendly staff. Bardolino city center is 5 minutes away. Dogs can swim in the lake. There is a fenced dog run nearby. We stayed 5 nights. €12 per person; €24–28 per pitch (€28 for the first row by the lake); €1 tourist tax. Electricity, water, and dogs included.

Classic, basic 1970s–80s campsite where nothing is missing; even soap and toilet paper are provided. The pitches are large, shaded, and covered with gravel. We were the only Italians. The only drawback is the price, especially at the minimarket, but all of Bardolino and Lake Garda are very expensive.

We stayed there for one night as a stopover. It was fine for that. We paid €40 for 2 people and 1 camper. Sanitary facilities were okay. Minimum stay is 6 days; for shorter stays you have to ask directly on site. No information can be obtained beforehand.

Typical long-term camper site. It feels as though there are only Germans who have been pilgrimageing to this campsite for years. The pitches for smaller motorhomes up to 6 meters are not separated from each other, so you know exactly what Mr. Müller is having for dinner. Positive: only a few meters to the private Lake Garda shore with several piers. Dogs are allowed and may only enter the water for swimming. Dogs are not allowed to lie on the shore. We were immediately accosted by an elderly nasty woman at the first contact with the water, saying the dog had no business there. Last year it supposedly was not allowed, bringing us back to the “I come here every year” attitude. For us, the site was anything but cozy. The sanitary facilities were okay.

Wonderful campsite. Very close to Bardolino. Everything you need. Clean sanitary facilities, hot showers, very well-kept site, jetty into the water, bread service, restaurant, and bar. Check-out by noon, but you may remain on the site until 3 p.m. Great, we will return.
