5 Rua da Condessa de Valenca, 7050-164, Montemor-o-Novo
Been here?
This parking area below the castle ramparts offers attractive town views and access to the castle and surrounding paths. Although the original listing mentions short 5,5m spaces, a recent report says a 6,9m vehicle at 3m high fitted easily. Follow the castle signs and approach via larger roads, as navigation apps may suggest narrow streets.

Good parking. We could easily park there with a length of 6.9 meters and a height of 3 meters. Easy to reach if you take the correct direction. Waze sent us through streets that were too narrow. Google Maps gave us the option of using the larger roads.
Beautiful and very well-preserved surroundings. Pleasantly surprised. Parking space at the entrance to the castle. Good views. Ideal for resting and visiting the castle. Recommended as a resting point. It is better to enter from the Intermarché, not from Lidl.
Easy to get to, follow the signs for Castello. OK in a small van. Great view over the town and the castle is lovely even though it is a ruin. We only stopped for lunch break but I’d stay here if we came back.
Extraordinary view. To get there, follow the castle signs rather than the GPS. Fine for a van. The castle visit is free and well documented in English.
Lovely view & walk around castle. Spaces wouldn't fit more than 5.5m safely. Also pretty steep & tight if higher van. Moved to bullring for night.
Not an ideal approach but we managed in our 7.5mtr A’Class. Nice view over the town. Managed a walk around the castle site before it rained. Steps from the Carpark lead down to the town.
Good parking for accessing the castle. It is in ruins, but the person below who doesn’t know that areas are what get rated, not monuments, should take note. It can be accessed from any direction with a large motorhome without a problem, even if it may not seem possible.
It is a ruin; there is nothing to see.
