Unnamed Road, 440 14, Metsovo
Been here?
A remote, exceptionally quiet lakeside nature spot with wide mountain and valley views, suitable for overnight stays. There are no on-site services, and the winding, sometimes uneven access road is manageable. A water source is about 300m below the site, but recent information says swimming in the lake is not allowed. The parking area is approximately 1350m above sea level.

This is one of the most beautiful views I have ever had while staying with a camper! The road there is very winding and sometimes a bit bumpy, but definitely manageable. When we arrived, there was one other camper. It is very quiet and peaceful.
We spent the night here. Very good location, very quiet, with a superb view and many water points around the lake.
Great place , at any time of the year is amazing as well mentioned at previous comments .keep it clean !!!
A real nice spot, Special for campers so probably legal. It is right next to the water, and really easily accesable with the dam service road. The road is barely used because nothing is in the vicinity. We stood here for 24h and only saw 1 other person. Swimming is not allowed, but there is a lot of adventure possible, including a small little canyon from the dam's outflow. Great spot!
A beautiful parking area at about 1,350 m elevation, overlooking the artificial lake. No services, but level, with a wooden viewpoint featuring a long bench. The view stretches over green valleys and high mountains. Extremely quiet, far from any inhabited center or gas station—the nearest is about 40 km away. An excellent overnight stop while touring the Zagoria region. The final stretch of road is rough.
Peace, solitude, and cool mountain air.
Idyllic, secluded and peaceful, with a beautiful view of the (reservoir) lake.
Wonderful place to spend the night with a beautiful view of the lake. It is completely legal. We spent one night in August and there was only one other motorhome. Very peaceful.
A beautiful place with a breathtaking view! We especially grew fond of a very sweet stray dog that lives there. Please bring him something to eat—he is incredibly friendly, loves being petted and enjoys playing. If you are considering adoption, he would be the perfect dog. We would have loved to take him with us, but we already have a dog.
We stopped there for a few hours and eventually fled because of the hundreds of flies. What a shame, as it is peaceful and the view of the lake is beautiful.
Extraordinary view, with a dream night ahead in this beautiful national park.
Perfect day and night. A 100% natural spot where you can walk or run along much of the lake. The access is manageable, although there are indeed a few potholes in the road. The spring is 300 m downhill; we filled our drinking bottles there—it is perfect! The view is superb!
The road there is sometimes not great, especially the last stretch, which has many potholes. There are also endless bends, but the view is beautiful. The place itself is wonderful, truly in the middle of nature. We were alone there and enjoyed ourselves despite the thunderstorm and rain.
The most beautiful overnight spot on mainland Greece. Pure nature with a fantastic view. Anyone looking for peace and loving nature is in exactly the right place here. We had a relaxing night. The place is free of dogs, cats and litter. Respect nature and take your rubbish with you. Thank you.
Free parking for motorhomes in nature. Very beautiful view. No services. Quiet night.
A wonderful place provided here for motorhomes. Anyone who loves peace and pure nature is in exactly the right place. Unfortunately, the prohibition signs in some places are unclear. For example, is swimming prohibited everywhere, or only in the designated areas?
Officially permitted motorhome parking. Great view. Quiet. Depending on the weather, it can also be colder and windy. Barbecue areas. Locals also come during the day, but they are not disruptive. Do not underestimate the travel time; Google’s estimated driving time is inaccurate.
Okay for one night, beautiful view, but at this time of year there are a great many wasps and, of course, no privacy—many other campers at night and locals during the day too.
Ideal if you love nature. The roads are a little damaged, but the peace and beauty of the place are the rewards.
