A wild lakeside spot on Loch Loyal with room for 2 to 3 vans, including a relatively level area near the exit. The stony beach is a few meters below the campsite, with shallow water suitable for swimming. It is generally quiet at night despite being beside a lightly used road, though morning traffic passes. There are no facilities, and midges can be extremely numerous.

Beautiful spot , level spot at one end. Room for 2 to 3 vans off the road. Midges will be out in force though.
A relatively level space, especially near the exit. However, the place is overrun with midges—you cannot even open the door without risking hundreds of these little monsters getting inside. Quiet despite being close to the road, as there is very little traffic.Translating

Basic camping beside loche, no facilities but a quiet night, in natural surrounding, no light pollution. For those who like to be at one with nature, a perfect place.
Very quiet and beautiful spot. we only stayed for a swim and to enjoy the view in the daytime. There was toilet paper in the bushes and litter around where people have had fireplaces. Please if you see this kind of behavior help preserve these beautiful places by telling people to be better. We picked up the litter and paper we saw. Always leave a place better than you found it!
I came, stayed a while, then around 7.30pm I realized the millions (!!!) of midges outside. They started coming in through the closed windows! Don't ask me how. I've never seen anything like it. I drove away as fast as I could. An absolute nightmare! Other than that amazing view and almost flat, great phone signal, too. it's just the freaking beasts that made staying impossible.
It’s a beautiful spot! Plenty of space for two campers, 3 at a squeeze. It a few metres to the loch, which is very shallow and perfect for a swim. There’s forest, hills and loch to admire. It’s right next to the road, which is very quiet and I barely heard a vehicle all night. Fantastic recommendation. Beware the midge swarm!
