Lakeside parking, occasional noise

Beautiful parking spot. Lovely view of the Mere [lake]. Would definitely stay again. Highly recommended.

we stayed here last night as the spot we were going to was full off road chippings. So we looked around and found this idilic place right next to a large pond. We set up a couple of feet from the pond and there were ducks and geese swimming around. Nice quiet spot, a couple of cars passing as there is a holiday park just near it. So a nice pleasant spot

Maybe I was unlucky, but I stayed here on a BH and at 11.30pm some kids in souped up cars came and were revving their engines and chatting and shouting, despite two campervans there. That said, it is a nice little spot overlooking a lake and the road (I assume) is normally quiet. There's a bin and some short walks around the lake. Good signal on Vodafone.

Lovely small park up. Great views over lake n walk through the woods. Fishing pegs available to book. Few cars parked for a while but soon left. Quiet,peaceful. litter bin but pls only leave footprints Would recommend

Fine and peaceful place. We were the only ones there for two nights. Beautiful view of the lake, hills and greenery.

Great small flat park up off the road. Benches. Lake walk. No 'no overnight' signs. Bins.

Right by the road. Not for me if I want to sleep peacefully. However, if you continue out of town, you come to several somewhat hidden hiking car parks without overnight prohibitions. Farther ahead along the Dervent Water.
