Süderstraße 66, 25980, Sylt
Been here?
This campsite is directly behind the dunes beside the west beach and accepts tents and motorhomes of all sizes. The beach is about a one-minute walk away, while Westerland is roughly 25 minutes on foot. New, clean sanitary facilities, a shop, restaurant and surfer café are available, with showers, electricity and WiFi charged extra. Pitches can be sloped and tightly packed, with little privacy and occasional early delivery noise near the restaurant.

Every square centimetre is used to the maximum. We had a “comfort” pitch right next to the restaurant. It was as if we were dining in the middle of the restaurant with our camping table. On the first day we were woken at 6 a.m. by the delivery truck, and on the other mornings by the opening of the convenience store. Much too expensive for what it is. We will not return!
We tried to book, but could not find anything available until well into autumn, and then only for three nights. We decided to try anyway. We arrived around 4 p.m. without much hope of getting a place. But we were greeted by a very friendly woman at reception who said there was indeed space. And it actually was not full on either of the two nights we stayed here, from Thursday to Saturday in July. So it is worth trying.
Basically a very attractively located site, about a 25-minute walk from central Westerland. Prices seem somewhat higher than elsewhere in the area. Charging extra for electricity, shower water and Wi-Fi on top of that is a bit much. The Tante Emma shop is very charming and has a wide selection.
Very nice campsite below Westerland, directly by the dunes—excellent starting point. Sanitary facilities are new and clean. Showers and electricity cost extra. Tante Emma shop with all amenities, including bread rolls and cake. There is also a restaurant on site, as well as a nice surfer shop-café. Direct beach access.
Beautiful campsite between the dunes—excellent location. The sanitary facilities are new and clean. Showers and electricity cost extra!!! No bushes or hedges, so hardly any privacy. Very cramped pitch atmosphere. The adjacent road is barely audible. The Südwäldchen next door is highly recommended if you have a dog.
Unfortunately not five stars, as the site was under construction during our visit. Excellent sanitary facilities, all new, modern and very clean. Shower water is charged according to usage via the guest card. One downside is that the shower knobs are extremely slippery and difficult to turn with soapy fingers or hands.
This was our second time at this site, which is generally unreservedly recommended. BUT we had to leave unexpectedly early. When asked, we were told that 20% per night would be charged for the early departure—which seemed fair. On closer inspection of the bill, we noticed that one night had been charged too many. They gave a blunt reference to the terms and conditions; the following day was charged on top.
Neat and clean place. Most pitches have a slope and wedges are needed. All four nights were calm.
We stayed on the Bulli meadow, which was really cool. Nice staff, everyone very helpful, and the sanitary facilities were very clean. You always need the card; water is charged by the litre. The beach is a one-minute walk away. You can try the Wi-Fi and then log in for a fee.
Good location close to town but outside of it, perfect sanitary facilities - clean and new. Very good experience and worth the money overall!
In winter, the motorhome pitches in front are open. No sanitary facilities, as expected, so that is fine. But €33 per night, disposal for the chemical toilet closed, and rubbish bins completely undersized—this is not acceptable.
Not too large comfort campsite, with everything you need. Sanitary facilities clean and modern. Friendly staff. Restaurant and Tante Emma shop available. Surfing spot and rental. Good beach access. Deducting a star because Wi-Fi is only available for a fee. Otherwise, good value for Sylt.
Price is okay for Sylt. Sanitary facilities excellent. Unfortunately, the staff were not very friendly.
Very nice site, partly with newly laid lawns. Sanitary facilities clean and orderly. The price of €38 for a motorhome with two people, including everything, is reasonable for Sylt. Everything is quickly reachable by bicycle. This is our second time here and we will return.
We were there in mid-September 2024. The site is tightly organised, with clean and modern sanitary facilities. A great beach is reached over the dune. There is a well-stocked shop with moderate prices; elsewhere, especially in the restaurant, prices are very high—typical Sylt prices.
Very attractively located campsite. The sanitary facilities are very nice. Unfortunately, we were on a gravel pitch. We would definitely come again.
Very nice and clean, very friendly.
The site is highly recommended. Very well maintained, with competent and helpful staff. State-of-the-art sanitary facilities. There is also a CamperClean unit for the chemical cassette. Motorhome pitches are spacious; their size can be viewed online in advance. Small, well-stocked Tante Emma shop and an Osteria with excellent food.
