Peaceful lakeside, rough access

Into the wild... super.

Great place for staying self-sufficient. We had a very peaceful night.

Uneven gravel road but hard & safe to use. Several spots to pull off & stop for vans & smaller Motorhomes. Turning point at the bottom by the lake. Can hear the road & train faintly in the distance. No services but great free camping near the Hjerkinn information point at Fitch.

There are houses and a campsite all around. Anyone who parks here has misunderstood the principle of staying outside the view of houses.

Quite a few ruts on the road, so you have to drive carefully. You can hear the road a little, but it is quieter than other options along the main road. It is beautiful, though not the best view—but everything is beautiful around here anyway.

One fairly flat available spot in the middle of nature. You can hear the road a little, although it is quite far away. There are remnants of a campfire. Please leave this place clean.

Quiet parking spot. As is typical for the region, it is windy, so you should bear that in mind when parking. It is peaceful here and not far from the starting points of various hikes.

Pretty place with wide view! The place deserves 5 stars, but the road is really bad. I won’t go when it is raining a lot and the road is slippery (we almost went out of grip in sunny weather)
