Picnic spot, turbines audible

The wind turbines cannot be ignored, but otherwise you are truly undisturbed here.

Very nicely situated, peaceful place. Great for one night.

We slept very peacefully here and had a wonderful view over the fields toward Erfurt early in the morning. Although some people mention the wind turbine, it did not bother us at all. We would return at any time and highly recommend the place.

Car park by a small wooded area on the foothills of the Ettersberg. Very quiet at night, but when the large wind turbines start up—one nearby and three about 250–600 m away—it can get somewhat louder. We were there on a stormy night, and I did not find the noise disturbing. Please take your rubbish with you and keep the place clean!

Magnificent peaceful picnic spot in nature. No cars pass on the small road. We slept there, and the noise from the wind turbines did not bother us at all.

Great spot, only the sounds from the wind turbine sometimes bothered us. No houses within sight, perfect. During the night we were visited by a larger animal, no idea what kind. It startled us a little. But you always have to expect animals. All in all, a great place for the night.

Good for a stopover, but unfortunately the place is rather dirty, and judging by the types of rubbish there, it seems to be used mainly as a cruising area.

Beautiful view. You sleep under wind turbines, which is worth bearing in mind, but they are not loud. Not far from the road but still sheltered. With a covered table.

Lovely natural pitch beneath several wind turbines, which are not particularly bothersome. Nice walking opportunities. The picnic area is tidy.
