Overnight parking, very dirty

Parking beyond the kiosk on the old cable-car road, with a relatively flat area and easy access for an overnight stop before climbing Vesuvius. Arriving after 18:30 can avoid the 18 eur/24h charge, and there is no water. The area is very dirty, with little view, poor reception and several friendly stray dogs.

A tip: arrive after 6:30 p.m.; the checkpoint is closed, so it will be free. Otherwise, €18 per 24 hours. No water, very dirty. The lady at the kiosk is friendly and tells you about Vesuvius and Naples—very interesting. Five stray but friendly dogs. We parked in the lot after the kiosk. We had two large dogs in our 7-meter truck. The place is isolated; there is some traffic, but otherwise it is fairly quiet.
Parking area after the kiosk. There is waste, but it is free compared with the kiosk. There is a lot of vegetation, and you must not be afraid of dogs.
The place is good for one night if you want to visit Vesuvius. There is no beautiful view and poor to no reception. It is very dirty, although you have peace and quiet. I would choose the place again if I spontaneously needed to stay overnight there and visit Vesuvius.
