Val Dessus, 39130, Menétrux-en-Joux
Been here?
A paid daytime car park for visiting the Hérisson waterfalls, with mostly level spaces and toilets at the information centre. The latest reported price is 15€ for the day, and overnight parking is prohibited. The waterfall walk is accessible and well arranged, but the parking can be muddy and very busy in high season.

Parking for visiting the Hérisson waterfalls, which are a must-see! We paid €15 for the day's parking. Be aware that you cannot stay overnight in this parking lot; if you plan to spend the night, there is a campsite right next door.Translating
Good starting point for the hike. From one to four hours costs 10 euros. Toilets at the information center. Very level parking spaces. The hike is beautiful, although it could also be started from other places.Translating
Parking fee applies from April to September, but it is worth it. A superb hike with trails accessible to everyone, leading to magnificent waterfalls!Translating
Muddy parking lot; the price displayed at the entrance is €5 per hour for motorhomes, compared with €3 for cars. In fact, starting the second hour is also charged at €5. So €10 for 1 hour 15 minutes. Easy money for the site!Translating
Large parking lot where you can park on the grass. We pay the same rate as cars regardless of our length.Translating
Large parking lot—practical, although paid. We preferred to take the trail uphill first, admiring the waterfalls, then walk back down leisurely and finish with a meal. The site is beautifully laid out. Thank you.Translating
Parking is free at this time of year. Ideal for visiting the waterfalls. A little muddy.Translating
I do not recommend it in high season. It is a large parking lot, that is true. However, you pay for a hike where you will be packed in shoulder to shoulder. It is better to go to the other point farther on at Bonlieu, on the D75. Free parking, and you can take the hike in the opposite direction.Translating
Excellent for visiting the Herisson falls (which cannot be seen from the car park as shown in pics). You can walk the full falls (total 7.5km) and have lunch and see the free film in Maison within 4 hours, which is €10. Barrier parking entry/exit. Reiterate no parking after 2200hrs. Toilet in main Maison building. None at top of falls.
Ideal parking for the waterfalls walk. Free from October 1 to April 10. Parking prohibited between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m.Translating
Parking costs €5 if you stay for one hour, otherwise €10. It is better to use the access point upstream of the waterfalls, which is free. Be aware that due to the lack of water at the moment, there are very few falls. The walk is disappointing, even though the forest provides shade and coolness.Translating
Parking half paved and half gravel and dirt. Not ideal in bad weather. Parking costs €10 per day in high season; access to the waterfalls is free.Translating
We were there on June 27. Best-located parking for doing the hike uphill from waterfall to waterfall. Car or motorhome: €10 for four hours. The price is justified because this magnificent site requires a lot of maintenance, especially all the stairs and guardrails. There are other parking lots farther away for those who always criticize everything and never want to pay; there is no obligation here.Translating
