Been here?
This paid camper place is a quiet, tree-lined site near the Luhe and its cycle path, with level lattice-stone pitches for vehicles no longer than 7 meters. The historic town center, playground, Luhe Gardens, shops, and public transport are nearby. Water and waste services work without a parking ticket, but water requires a token and card payment has been broken for at least half a year. Recent comments report that the site is poorly maintained.

We have stayed here several times and previously found the place very good and affordable. We were here again on June 24, 2026, and were very disappointed. The cleanliness and maintenance of the site left much to be desired. What is the use of a good pitch built with a lot of money if it is not maintained? Hanne & Hans
Good pitch beside a hedge, with a recreational area behind it. Short walk into the city. Everything works here!
Card payment has obviously been broken for at least half a year. We had no cash, so we moved on.
Fresh-water and waste-disposal facilities can be used without a parking ticket. Buy a water token from the machine. Maximum length 7 meters.
Very quiet, quick access to the town, and a great park for walking. Absolutely recommended ‼️
I like this place. It is ideally located and very quiet. Everything worked perfectly except contactless payment. The surroundings and town are worth seeing.
By now it is very poorly maintained; small oak trees are growing in parts of the pitch, with grass and weeds everywhere. The green strips around it are overgrown. Lots of old leaves have rotted and encouraged more weeds. Card payment is broken. Cash only; the tourist information office in town knows about it. “Then you have to pay cash.” Can you change money? “No” :-(
Slept very peacefully; very beautiful paths through nature. Quick access to the city. Fresh- and waste-water facilities are very good and can also be used without booking a pitch. The bins are not locked; lift the lid at the handle recess.
Thanks to the person who chose this particular pitch for their large motorhome and trailer, and, because it was too short, simply parked on the disposal area instead of driving on to find a more suitable space. On the one hand, this was genuinely antisocial behavior; on the other, the pitch/disposal layout is also poorly designed.
There is currently no drinking water because of vandalism damage!
Simple pitch at a parking area in front of residential buildings. Gray water, fresh water, and toilet disposal. Everything is available on site. Good value for money. Playground and public toilets nearby. Everything is within walking distance.
Well-maintained site in a quiet location, opposite residential buildings. Good for trips into the city. For us, it was too close to the houses, with no privacy screen such as a hedge. Very exposed, which is definitely a matter of taste. Certainly okay for one night, but not for us.
Very quiet site at the end of a cul-de-sac, directly beside the Luhe. Everything you need is available. Winsen’s attractive town center is just a few minutes away on foot.
A nice, small site with everything a motorhome needs. Beautiful surroundings and a pleasant village. Many paths for walking and cycling. The second electrical hook-up post is broken, but still works.
Great spot, good system but didn’t get refund for unused power/water. It would be helpful if they had clear instructions in English - the on-screen translations weren’t clear. Winsum was a pretty town and worth the visit.
Excellent facilities, ok price, very calm area with good dog walking opportunities. You can use facilities without paying for parking. You can pay both with card and with cash. Luhespielpark is nice, and city centre is only a couple of minutes away by foot. The rules prohibiting chairs in these very large and nice parking spaces are kind of dull.
Quiet and ideally located for driving to Hamburg. Reasonable price, electricity, and the possibility of emptying the toilet and wastewater. No sanitary facilities. Easy access, with shops and the village nearby. We spent two nights here.
The site is perfectly fine and very quiet at night. Walking the dogs is no problem because there is a park directly behind it. Electricity and fresh water are purchased via a ticket from the machine, which is complicated and unfamiliar, but manageable after reading the instructions several times. The only disadvantage is that there is unfortunately a lot of dog mess in the park. Otherwise, we would gladly return.
The site itself is not bad, and the value for money is fine, but what is the point of banning people from placing a chair in front of their vehicle? Consideration for the residents is fine, but this is going too far!
For us, it is one of the top sites. Sufficiently wide pitches, suitable for vehicles up to a maximum length of 7.5 meters. Excellent fresh- and waste-water facilities. The only issue is that the water pressure is too high. Beautiful bike rides are possible, and it is a lovely town. Everything is within walking distance. Very quiet at night. It is a shame that chairs may not be put outside. We had a lovely stay. The price is fair.
No problem with a 7.5-meter vehicle. Cash only; credit cards refused. Quiet parking area. Bravo and thank you.
Basically a very nice pitch, 500 meters from the city center. It is a shame that camping-like activities such as putting out chairs or barbecuing are prohibited. That is why I give it 3 instead of 4 stars.
