Tarred parking lot on a slight slope at the edge of town, close to houses and apartment buildings. It is suitable for day or overnight parking and is practical for an early departure towards Mount Etna, with an excursion company a few hundred metres away. The area is calm from 9pm until 9am, and overnight stays have been quiet, with space shared by a few other vehicles.

Practical parking area near houses, so it feels safe. There were two other vans with us in early November. Go up Mount Etna via Nicolosi and the SP92; it is the safest and most manageable route for vans with low horsepower and little engine braking like ours. We slept here because Google Maps suggested taking a road right beside it, but we had to turn around.
Close to some apartments and houses and at a road intersection. Calm from 9 p.m., and also in the morning until 9 a.m. We had a nice night. No other campers, just three other cars in the parking lot.
A very practical day-and-night parking area for an early departure to Mount Etna with the company Matatagrande Agricola Tour, located a few hundred metres away and highly recommended. It can be found on Viator.
