Been here?
A free, slightly sloping daytime parking area directly below the first marker of the Struve Geodetic Arc. Two camper spaces are available, but camper parking is limited to 2 hours. The monument is reached by steps in about 1 minute, making this suitable for a short cultural visit rather than overnight stays.

Two motorhome spaces, but only permitted for two hours. Good for visiting the monument.
The parking area is perfect for visiting the monument. Reindeer were right by the monument.
A beautiful piece of history. For campers, the maximum stay is only 2 hours.
Perfectly suited for visiting the monument. Given the excellent weather, we briefly considered staying, but went to the campsite, which we can highly recommend.
Free parking directly by the monument. We were able to park our 7-meter motorhome easily. The space is limited to 2 hours (use a parking disc). The monument is reachable via stairs in 1 minute. The parking area is level. There are 2 motorhome spaces at the back left (see parking sign).
Motorhome spaces are at the rear of the parking area, but because of the parked cars today they were accessible only to small motorhomes. With my 8.80 m vehicle, I could not drive in today. I parked lengthwise along the road opposite; that worked well and was sufficient for viewing the landmark.
Cars were parked in the motorhome spaces. In addition, parking is limited to 2 hours for motorhomes only, not for cars. Free, but honestly somewhat restrictive if you want to visit and go to the other side of the city. Convenient for seeing the Struve Geodetic Arc monument and the Napoleonic fortress that defended Hammerfest.
Just a parking area for visiting the Meridian Stone. Parking time limited to 2 hours!!!
Small parking area right next to the Meridianstøtten, good for this cultural visit. You cannot sleep here.
No camping allowed.
