Temple views, litter and road noise

Very littered, with many stray dogs. We drove on.

The entrance from the Temple of Juno side is 500 m uphill along the provincial road; be careful, there is no sidewalk. The dirt road is short but rough in two places. Gain speed before the mud or you risk getting stuck. Wind internet connection is very poor. Not recommended for campers over 6 m. On April 3, 2025, a dead dog had been thrown in a bag near the chain; at the time it was not decomposing.

Cons: The access road is very rough and narrow but short and passable (we drove it in the dark with a 6 m Ducato van). The parking spot is dirty, with quite a lot of broken glass on the ground, and slightly noisy. Pros: views of the temples. Secluded spot in a pleasant little woodland.

The spot's main advantage is its location; it is close to the Valley of the Temples and the center of Agrigento. However, it is dirty, not level or difficult to level, and it is impossible to set up a table without putting it in the rubbish.

Beautiful view of the illuminated temples, but the traffic noise is very loud. The woods are heavily polluted, and stray dogs roam around. We did not feel safe and slept badly.

Incredible view; the temple is illuminated at night. Quiet area with no neighbors. The route is passable by van (we expected worse from the comments). Road noise is present, and it is a little dirty, with bins and such.

We spent the night here, but the route is suited to a 4x4. We had difficulty getting up the inclines and had to try several times. Be especially careful in rainy weather! Otherwise, you are completely alone; you can hear cars all night.

It might be a pleasant place, but we did not dare take that road. It is more suitable for a 4WD, so go and inspect it first. We have driven many beautiful bumpy routes, but this seemed too challenging for our Citroën Jumper camper.

Beautiful parking area under eucalyptus trees, within walking distance of the Valley of the Temples, with space for 2–3 campers. Very uneven access, not suitable for motorhomes. Perfect for spending a day at the ruins. No services, but plenty of nature; a drinking fountain is less than 2 km away in the next town.

On the night of March 18, 2024, we slept here for one night. We arrived in the evening and left in the morning; nobody disturbed us, and the night was very quiet. The little woodland is beautiful, and in the evening there is a lovely view of the illuminated temple!

Great view, with only friendly passersby (mountain bikers). The approach from the country road takes about 3 minutes; it is rather narrow but easily manageable. Not suitable for motorhomes.
