Been here?
This large parking area is slightly set back from the road and offers space for 4 or 5 vans, with views over a small lake and towards the Old Man of Storr. It is generally quiet at night, though the road and glass recycling containers bring some morning activity, including a Monday waste-truck visit. The surface can be muddy, and some sections are slightly sloping. Wind can also be noticeable.

Lots of space, slightly set back from the road, beautiful view! Handy for spending the night. Very slight slope and quite a lot of wind, however! I recommend it if you are struggling to find a place in the area.
No wind, some traffic on this road but plenty of space for motorhomes and vans, with animals on the other side of the road.
We spent one night this week and it was very quiet. Recommended.
Perfect parking area when it has rained heavily for several days! With a 3.5-ton vehicle, you quickly get stuck in the mud, so we looked for an asphalt parking area. Absolutely recommended and quiet at night. In the morning, one or two cars came to throw bottles into the glass container. We stayed here overnight and left in the morning for the Old Man of Storr parking area, which is only 10 minutes away.
Good quiet stopover for the night - parked away from the recycling bins. So very sorry to hear this layby has been used as a toilet - not necessarily people in vans, but obviously do not stay here unless you have toilet facilities in the van !!
Quiet at night. On Monday morning, the trash truck comes to clean the glass recycling bins.
Next to the road, but it was fine during the night. There is traffic in the morning. Not too windy and space for four or five vans, depending on their size.
Please do not use this lay-by as a toilet. There are recycling bins for locals to use which now have human waste and toilet tissue etc behind them. Disgusting
Breathtaking view. The road is very busy in the afternoon and early morning because of nearby tourist spots. It is best to park as far out as possible in the pull-in, since passing cars can make your own vehicle shake a lot. Absolutely fine for one night!
Good place for a quick night, but very steep.
Good for staying self-sufficient; there is still some road noise in the evening, but it is quiet at night. Beautiful view of the lake.
Quiet at night with a lovely view of the Old Man of Storr. A slight slope, but acceptable for spending the night.
Next to the road, although not directly beside it; there is enough space to leave a margin and not notice the traffic. It has a slight slope but is fine for spending the night if you cannot find another place. The views are also beautiful.
Gave 4 stars as road very busy and noisy till late and early from 5.30am. Big parking area that is fairly level. No litter, which was nice to see, no waste bins, just recycling on site so take rubbish with you. We stayed the following day for a hike to the waterfall and Staffin bay 7miles round trip. Support community cafe en route.
Space for four to five vans or motorhomes. Quiet but quite windy. The area is protected from side winds, which makes it possible to have a not-too-bad night. However, there is traffic on the road right next to it.
Perfect for an overnight stay. The road is quiet at night. Room for six if people park properly.
Large area slightly set back from the road. Quiet, with rare nighttime traffic.
Stayed here yesterday for one night and enjoyed a beautiful sunset. It is a 10-minute walk from Mealt Falls and Kilt Rock. No facilities; there is only a glass recycling bin. It is alongside the road, but we were hardly bothered by it.
A place where you can stop, but it is sloped. Beautiful view but beside the road.
Good parking area; you can hear cars passing, but there is little traffic.
The place itself is quiet, slightly off the main road. No services. I do not recommend it if it is too windy because it is exposed. Very convenient for reaching the Quiraing in the morning, only 15 minutes away.
Good place; we spent one night without any trouble at all.
