1 St.Nazairer Allee, 66740, Saarlouis
Been here?
This is a paved, spacious parking area beside a large park, close to Saarlouis city center. Around 15 places are available, with some shade, rubbish bins, and room for long motorhomes. The site is free, and water and waste disposal are about 5 km away at the sewage treatment plant during opening hours. Nights are often quiet, but the main road and autobahn are audible, and recent reports mention many rats.

The site is okay for one night, but no more. You can hear the main road and the motorway.... There also seem to be many long-term campers, judging by the number plates.
Nice parking area; quite a lot of locals come here because of the sports centre. It was quiet overnight, but there are many rats around! We were afraid they might get into our engine. Otherwise, no problem. We spent one night in the car.
Official camper site without facilities on the outskirts of the city. Paved, with no marked spaces, so long campers are also possible; reasonably level, with sun and shade. There are rubbish bins. About 15 spaces. Fairly quiet both during the day and at night. Naturally, you can hear city sounds and traffic in the background. Large supermarket 500 metres away. The centre is also easily reachable on foot through the park.
Thanks to the city for making this parking area available to us. Nowadays that has become very rare. Very good for an overnight stay, and the city is beautiful. We will come again.
Good for a few nights. However, there are many other campers around. On weekday mornings, many presumably teachers from the nearby school park there. Someone said, “All these campers are annoying. We should inform the municipal authorities again.” However, there is an explicit sign in front of the car park saying it is approved for motorhomes.
We stayed here from Tuesday to Wednesday and had a fairly quiet night, until the street cleaners emptied the small bins in the morning... The site is functional, but people seem to be living in some very run-down motorhomes. It was okay for one night.
Due it's size you will always find a spot to park here, but it is a popular site so don't expect privacy. Some shade thanks to 3m tall hedgerows. Apart from small bins no facilities. OK for a night or two.
Completely fine for one night. It takes 19 minutes to walk into town.
Good stopover close to the centre. The centre is less than 10 minutes away. Spacious parking spaces without services.
Free, close to the old town and city centre. Thanks to the city of Saarlouis. The parking area is paved, with small rubbish bins.
Free parking and a quiet night (Saturday to Sunday)
A normal car park. Nothing more, but nothing less either. We had two quiet nights here.
Unfortunately, we can only agree with previous reviewer Sackis on every point. Everything is extremely dirty due to construction work. Only useful in an emergency.
One of the dirtiest camper sites we have ever experienced, now also directly next to a construction site. I do not know when the previous photos were taken, but it is definitely no longer that clean. There is nothing attractive about this place!
The site would actually be great; we have been here several times. Unfortunately, the construction site next door is extremely noisy from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., so after one quiet night we left. Many small bins, otherwise no services.
a simple stop over, bit shabby but it's free, quite a lot of work going on in the car park so noisy in the daytime. Near to shops and a gigantic supermarket.
Good place to spend the night, no waste disposal, electricity, or fresh water. Also suitable for large motorhomes.
Convenient for one night and visiting Saarlouis.
Well, we got parked and it was free. Very shabby. After long journey South we arrived at 6.30 too tired to go any further. The motorhome aisle was full (some look like they are living there) so we parked in the one nearby which wasn’t so oppressive. Descent night but left early. Wouldn’t stay longer.
Beautiful, quiet place near the impressive city. No electricity or sanitary facilities nearby.
