Lakeside gravel, noisy weekends

Very nice place by the lake. We stayed here with another camper. The spots in the area are currently quite busy, so do not arrive too late.

Great for one night! The road is relatively busy because locals drive to their homes in the morning and evening. Otherwise, it is very quiet and relaxed. We felt comfortable and had a lovely time here.

Fantastic spot. We stopped and were alone at first, then some Belgian guys joined us. There was no disturbance last night—no horns or headlights from the few cars that passed. My son even went swimming in the lake. Excellent for visiting Preikestolen the next morning.

Avoid on weekends. We spent the night, but what a night… We were woken every hour by vehicles, loud music, horns, and revving engines. The place itself is very charming. There were also many flies and gnats, which were unpleasant. There were two vehicles on site; the other left at 6 a.m.

We parked here early in the afternoon and went on the 10-km hike starting on the nearby path toward the Hesten viewpoint. We then slept here so we could hike to Preikestolen the next day. Very beautiful view of the lake. The spot is fairly level and there is access to the lake.

We spent the night here. The view is beautiful and the road is not very busy. There was enough space and it was clean. Some cars deliberately honked in the evening, apparently to make us leave. Not with us—everything was quiet at night!

Nice gravel spot directly by the lake. It even has a small access point to the lake and a place for campfires. According to the sign on site, campfires in the area have been allowed again since September 15. We recommend darkening the vehicle windows, as several cars pass by at night. Not suitable for people sensitive to traffic noise.

Location close to the lake, suitable for two or three vans if parked properly; otherwise, only one motorhome. The road is busy in the evening and morning, but it is manageable. The place is really beautiful.

We spent one night there with a rooftop tent. It was quiet and we had a good night's sleep. Another van parked next to us; there was enough space.

Excellent place to sleep for one night while visiting Preikestolen. The road is quiet at night. There are many midges, though—the season has begun.

A 7-meter-long campervan. Very nice paved spot. Great to be alone here, which makes it special. There is even a stone barbecue, also suitable for a campfire. Cars drive past, but they are not disturbing. We went on a beautiful hike. Highly recommended!
