Riverside parking, early morning noise

Camping Carpark Aire next to large Carpark with hardstanding and surrounded by grass. Next to the river. Great spot, and 20 minutes walk to Intermarche, but the town seemed run down.

Nice quiet area close to shops and bars. Public sculptures in the adjacent park. Nice river to sit beside. The rubbish/recycle needs a clean as it looks a tip; someone has knocked over a bin and the shed is dirty. Glass recycle goes in the bin in the bin outside in the public car park

This area deserves 5 stars for its location, setting, and proximity to shops. But… CCP knows about the problem: the service terminal does not work—no water and no rinsing. The cassette emptying point is in a disgusting state. No Wi-Fi, although advertised. Otherwise, a lovely place.

I usually park at this area every year at this time and have never had any problems getting water. On November 1, 2023, there was no water despite temperatures being well above freezing.

Perfect place, clean and dry, with room to settle in comfortably. We are not packed in on top of one another. Water, electricity, glass recycling, rubbish, and emptying facilities are all available by the water.

Somehow I missed the entrance to the official aire so stayed on this parking. Very pleasant by the river. A pleasant town to explore.
