Stayed here for a change as our usual sites were all full due to the start of summer holidays, it was such a nice site we’ve added it to our list of regulars. Will definitely be back
We stayed 2 nights. Barnard Castle is walkable distance with a Lidl just up the road from the camping. A bit of road noise, ney bother though. Felt save and secure leaving our cat whilst we were visiting Barnard Castle.
Amy is a great host and the pitches are very nice and spacious. Picnic tables and nice grass area. Would definitely recommend. Road can be a bit noisy.
Lovely two night stop here. Great views. Easy booking via FB and instructions of what to do on arrival. Nice new toilet, Elsan and fresh water point near pitches. Several hard standing MH pitches. Well maintained grass area for pitching with picnic tables. Some early morning road noise but didn’t bother us. Bus stop 2 mins away. Barnard castle a 15 mins walk. £15 pn with metered EHU if required
Got a spot spontaneously. On the grass without electricity, right next to the road. Noisy and heavily trafficked, partly used as a racetrack. Waste disposal possible. £15 per night, okay for a stopover.Translating
What a cracking site, with a very friendly owner, right on the edge of Barnard Castle. Grass and hardstanding pitches all have metered electric hookups at £15 a night. Toilets, but no shower. Bus stop right outside the gates and Lidl two minutes' walk away. You can pay to empty your toilet and gray waste when passing, just like at an aire. Definitely coming back. Lev nowt behind.Translating
Private site with black- and gray-water disposal and access to water. Our pitch was on gravel. We spent a quiet night.Translating
cracking site we stayed 2 nights. there is a bus stop a few mins walk away to get you into Barnard Castle. ehu is on a meter which we prefer. will definitely be going back
It is a private parking area with essential services. We arrived at 8 p.m.; the owner was kind and welcomed us despite the late hour. Contact the house at the far end on the left.Translating
Great location, a one-mile walk into the local town with many cafés, shops, attractions, and lovely walks. The site has well-spaced grass and hardstanding pitches. It is an aire-style site with one outdoor toilet, drinking water, an Elsan point, and a recycling area. We stayed one night and enjoyed it because of the location.Translating
Not really a campsite, more a storage facility for vans, caravans and motor homes. Toilet is in a old brick shed/outbuilding! There is a place to empty toilet but didn’t find a tap! Not sure what I paid £15 for apart from location. Walk into town was nice but road very noisy! Vans very close together which makes for a few noisy night!
